The combined shot at 2:40 is amazing, not only does it show the shuttle landing speed, it also helps me imagine the area I should pay attention to defense. Awesome work!

Thank you, Greg & Jenny for creating this content! Although I usually play doubles, it's definitely good to learn proper skills for the singles game. It actually took me awhile to figure that my position when I serve in singles is too close to the net (which is not a problem when you're playing doubles).

Good red line throughout the video. - 2 Tips that Can be added: (also things being in badminton Denmarks guide) - 1. in your split step, TRY! to make your feet land broader than your shoulders in with, or at least as broad. 2. Racket arm must be "free" from body, depending on the situation on the side, infront or inbetween (as you mentioned). Once again great video. Hopefully i'll see you at the world cup in copenhagen! - Cheers!

Thanks so much for this video. I played from 7 - 12 and then resumed at over 50. But still love to play singles! Often I feel hypnotized at good drops by opponents. And I barely moved and the shuttle is in the ground! However at other times I move quite well. I always thought I am doing split step a tad late or not doing at all. Now I know I was indeed late in doing the split step. I guess it is better to do split step earlier than recommended than not do at all! Thanks for your contribution to the world badminton community!

A tip is, do your exercises at home. For example do running on your own at a low speed for over 30mins without rest.(depend with our ability) Always try not to stop as much as possible. Don't run fast which will make you tired so quickly and discourage you to run anymore. This made my focus into the game more better. I think we better do running 2 times per week mins or 3 times max!🤭🤭

Guys after watching your “attacking tips video” i learnt the point to “mix up your attack” But then in your other videos, u advice us to not hit clears but rather smashes and drops. My question is , do we only play smashed and drops in badminton’s doubles and only hit clears when off balance or do we mix it up all the time with clears

But what do I do when they are clearing a lot? I always see the top players getting behind the shuttle like the court is only 2 meters long🧐 But when I am ready for a smash or drop, I don’t know how to get behind the shuttle properly, and than I don’t know if I should clear back or go for a smash or drop myself…
@magikonkuiz Жыл бұрын
An opponent that spams clears against you, and if it works, is a sign that the opponent does not fear your overhead attack options. You wanna work on developing better quality smashes, drops, and slice shots to discourage them from clearing against you. Better attacks actually make clears harder to do. If you're late at getting to the shuttle even knowing this, you probably just need better footwork, don't worry, we all do hahahaha.
@wesselbs5795 Жыл бұрын
@@magikonkuiz well actually, my attack from the back of the court is pretty good. But his clears are really accurate so it’s hard to get behind them. And my foot work is pretty good so I can move myself pretty fast around the court and I know what to do. but I don’t know how to get behind them quicker. Or could it be that his clears are really flat so I don’t have enough time? And should I be able to punish him for that?
@rayhanalam3101 Жыл бұрын
@@wesselbs5795 i am in this same exact situation i see the pros play and no matter how close they are to the net when they need to go back it feels its just one step away and they are always behind the shuttle whereas myself i am reaching the shuttle but in no way in the perfect spot behind it, but one thing that is recently started to help is, i watched one of these guys videos on how to move and they said take small steps and move fast, this has definitely helped me taking big steps slows you down i didnt believe this until i tried it, i feel i am in a much better place to reach shuttle after this small change, if you have any further tips to let me know but i think practicing like this i will probs get it soon
