What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? If you have the Pioneer DEH-X6700BS, there are 3 sets of RCA outputs. One set of RCA's is dedicated as the subwoofer output. @@pioneerelectronics yes I know that. What I’m wondering is it possible to set it up as rear speakers full/subwoofer through sub output like in the subwoofer setup video for the DEH-X6700BT??

I have the DEH-X6700BS. When I follow the video for the subwoofer set up for the 6700BT I don’t get the SP-P/O mode screen after I turn it off push the volume button, go to initial, push the volume button. Does the 6700BS not have that option??

The Pioneer DEH-X6700BS has 3 sets of RCA outputs. The Pioneer DEH-X6700BT has 2 sets of RCA outputs. They are different receivers with different hardware configurations. Since they have different hardware, they must also have different setup software. SP-P/O is an abbreviation for Speaker - Pre/Out setup. The Pioneer DEH-X6700BS does not have this setup menu because it has 3 pairs of RCA outputs. Those outputs are pre configured as Front / Rear / and Subwoofer outputs. These outputs can not be changed. The DEH-X6700BS can change the Rear Speaker Level output to full range or subwoofer output as speaker level. This does not effect the RCA outputs. @@pioneerelectronics thanks for the reply. okay I see. So I take it that I can’t run the rear speakers using the head unit wiring and the subwoofer thru the RCA output together then? Or in another way, Do I have to give up my rear speakers to use a subwoofer?
