Hey, thanks for sharing this easy DIY. It's simple and can b easily done at home. Only if there was some thicker material than this file board, it wud make it more sturdy. I know, all the cake boxes r of such thin material only, but for a weighted box ,a sturdier matrl wud be wonders. 👍

Maam there is no such thick sheets other than corrugated sheets which very difficult to find and expensive at the same time and I am using these for from many years for all my heighted and tiered cakes...

Looks very VERY cheap, not professional at all, and too much time and effort to make. Professionals don't have time for that, and would not present a cake box like that to an actual client. (unless the standards are low). Sorry but....just no!!! unacceptable. period.

I know your comment is two years old but I came here to say....This homemade box is a good idea for cake beginners, as myself,that are just starting out. Some of us don't have the funds for fancy cake boxes. When trying to build a business from the bottom you have to cut costs somewhere. If your cakes shine then I'm sure most people will overlook the box. I'm sure you have to handle with extra care with these boxes but it's nothing you couldn't relay to the customer.
