Thank you so much for this tutorial! I made a 7-tier wedding cake that needed to travel outside my delivery area. My client was happy to pick it up and make the four hour drive to the venue where it was to be refrigerated over night. I used your method of creating a mini fridge within the box because of the length of the drive as I wanted the cake to stay cool for my client. When she got to the venue, they would not refrigerate it! Because of your ingenuity, even though the cake was not in the cooler overnight, when it was unboxed the next day, it was still as cold as if it had been refrigerated! You, sir, are a genius! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

I made this portable refrigerator for a wedding cake I had to transport in Pennsylvania during July 2018. The time was an hour and a half. It worked perfectly!! The cake was frosted with buttercream and was still firm when we arrived allowing me to finish decorating it on site! Thank you soooooo much for this idea.

Thank you sooo much for providing helpful tips and tricks of the trade. I’m using this technique today to deliver a 4-tier wedding cake in Arizona where the temperature hit 104 degrees today and currently is 102 at time of delivery. This is a lifesaver!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@lisaflower59945 жыл бұрын
SO clever! Thankyou...I live in Australia, and have really worried about delivering cakes when the temperature is 40+ C, but I won’t ever again! I have stressed myself by completing the decorating in someone else’s kitchen, when I am much more comfortable in my own, and now I can. Sedar, you are a Master and a genius! Using all things I have at home, the stability and the temperature control, 2 things that have always worried me. And disasters??? So funny in retrospect but NOT at the time, my brother’s shoe once landed in a cake I was preparing to take, something I will never forget!

Update This box idea saved me so much stress this weekend! I used it to transport a three tier graduation cake 360 miles across the state for my granddaughter. The cake arrived in perfect condition. The only modification I made was to add 1"x1"x3" pieces of wood hot glued in the bottom so I could to set the cake down on and still be able to get my fingers back under the cake to lift it out.
