watching you pry the main part of the palette off of the covering was so stressful. please never pull the knife in your direction, it could slip and you could hurt yourself. besides that, great video. be safe!!

Ha! Yeah, you're definitely right, it's definitely not a thing I'd recommend if you're not used to working with a knife. I used to work in a warehouse where I did, among other things, breaking down boxes. I'm super comfortable w/ it. But there's always a first time. Hopefully I won't gut myself, lol.

I noticed as well. A good friend of mine was carving a piece of wood once, and I was like "let me try! Let me try!". So he handed me the knife, and panicked and freaked out right away, then told me to never pull the knife in my direction. Somehow I'm glad to know expert people can comfortably do it.

I have most of the JP palettes. Every time I look for a color I wish that they were all in one palette. I would organize them by color. It would make it so much easier than having to take all the palettes out and open each one to find what I'm looking for. The two things that are stopping me are 1. There are so many, I would need more than one Z type palette (which kind of defeats the purpose) and, 2. The packaging is so nice I can't make myself depot. NOT saying you, or anyone else, shouldn't. It didn't bother me that you did. It's just that I can't make myself do it. I think about it...every time I use them.

I have all of my eyeshadows organized by color, and it is indeed the best! If you're willing to shell out the money, ColouredRaine has lovely and GIANT empty magnetic palettes that I use now, and I can't recommend them enough.

I don't care for majority of their mattes they are my least favorite matte formula and I end up not reaching for them. Also it bothers me how messy it gets. Do you have any way to clean their palettes?
@MISayera973 жыл бұрын
@@Blue-Mo0n I would just recommend wiping them with toilet paper every time you use them. That way they don't have a chance to get dirty in the first place

TY for this tutorial. I find I don't use them as much as I would because I can't remember what colors are in what palette. So just bought supplies to depot. I have every single palette including blush palettes so I ordered the giant magnetic palette from GiveMeGlow cosmetics and excited to have them all in one cohesive place. Going to save the art and glue to magnetic palette in some form or fashion. TY!

Thanks! This will help a lot to depot all of my Juvias Place palettes. I want to use them more and but there is so much beautiful packaging that I don’t want to mess up but I don’t enough space to keep them out all of the time so I end up forgetting all of the colors that I could be using!

I honestly never thought I would depot any of my palettes, let alone one from Juvia's Place. But then I started to realize how I never reach for certain palettes (most of them were not bought by myself, BTW). On top of that, I DID like one or two shadows from them, so decluttering the entire palette was not something I wanted to do. This was especially true for the Juvia's place palettes. Your video was a lifesaver! I successfully depotted the shades I wanted and gave the rest of the shades to my sister and cousins if they wanted them. Your video really helped me get rid of so much extra stuff I really didn't need! So, thank you! 😊

I’m so glad I found this video though I wish I would have found it sooner. I have some cardboard palettes from wet n wild and the first one I did I broke so many shadows and had to repress them. For the second one I had contemplated breaking the shadows out of their pans and put them into empty pans to put into my z palette but decided to search in here first before buying empty pans. Depotting this palette was so much easier than the first and I didn’t break any eyeshadows. Thanks a bunch!

Hi Gina. This is the first video that I watched of yours. I have been watching your other videos. I must say THANK YOU for this video. I depotted all of my Juvia's Place palettes, which is all of them except the no name neutral palette and 3 of the new mini palettes. I had a knife, depotting tool, alcohol, hand sanitizer, wipes and towels. Also I wore an apron. I thought I would save the packaging to frame, but I did not and I did not even add the names. I made a neutral palette, a colorful palette and earth toned palette. I used Adept Cosmetics magnetic palettes. I managed to crack a few, maybe about 6 which is good. I fixed them. The HARDEST OF ALL THE PALETTES TO DEPOT WAS The Queen Palette FUMI x Juvia's. It was not attached to card board like all the others. It was glued to what looked like a rubber magnet that goes on the refrigerator. But it was not magnetized. I had to apply heat to get it unstuck and even then it was challenging. But overall a great experience and fun thing to do. I can now see what I have. I see that like you, I am not attached to packaging. :)
@VGwritesalot4 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, that's so weird about the Fumi palette! I hadn't heard that at all. That's so weird. Maybe they're trying out and making steps towards making magnetic palettes. Fingers crossed!

labarbara chase disrespectful to the brand? What? Lots of ppl love to depot shadows, reorganize them, buy singles. It’s only cardboard packaging, she’s not destroying shadows, even if she was, it’s hers, she bought it, it’s not art, it’s mass produced eyeshadows. I love JP, but you’re being pretty intense and dramatic! Lighten up!
@dkms122319885 жыл бұрын
Disrespectful to the brand how? Ive depotted one palette of theirs that I barely use and now I've used it more because it's in my custom palette that I reach for all the time...doesn't take from the quality.
@Blue-Mo0n4 жыл бұрын
What a stupid comment. The brand got your money, the palettes is yours to do it whatever you like with it. I would do this because half of the matte shadows are crappy and I don't reach for some of their shimmers, so IT IS a waste of space. I would do it even if I liked them all because I want them all together so I don't have to open a different palette plus they would have a way better colour arragement. Also the pachaging gets so dirty and messy it's disgusting and I haven't found a way to clean it. My custom oalette will have a mirror so U don't have to grab another extra mirror/palette. So many obvious reasons to depot them..
@Mikuchan0186 жыл бұрын
