That is a great question. I am sure it could be converted but I have to confess I have never crocheted a granny square before. It is definitely on my list of things to do!

Very nice idea. However, can this technique be used on amigurumi in the round? I have searched all over but can only find graphs for flat C2C types

That is a very good question I haven’t tried it in the round but don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
