This is the ONLY video you need to watch on detachment and how to ACTUALLY emotionally detach in dating and LIFE. I talk about 2 main mindsets that you need to start implementing and practicing DAILY in order to get into a state of detachment 24/7. I first discuss the famous Taoist farmer story to highlight the importance of detachment as you move through your daily life. I use that exact story to highlight why labeling events as good or bad is keeping you ATTACHED to the outcome. I move on to talk about how you must emotionally detach from dating by creating a safe home for yourself WITHIN yourself as this is the only way to truly move on from people, places, and things that do not serve you. Lastly I discuss (bluntly) how doing the most, serving justice for yourself by sending long text paragraphs to the guy who wronged you is making you look DUMB AF.
Throughout the video, I provide valuable insights and practical advice on how to truly detach in life, and dating, and apply it daily so that you can flow through life unbothered. I emphasize the importance of choosing to live an ✨unbothered girl✨ life if you truly want to thrive.

Hello. This was happening to me since I was little. People always made me feel like I didn't deserve attention. This taught me a big lesson. I learned to want nothing. I depended on myself for everything. People got angry, because I didn't do the cat, and mouse game. I learned the hard way. All the time that I had was turned into productivity. I have been doing great things with my life. Others didn't know how strong I was. I'm proud of myself. I overcame many obstacles in life.

In my experience you have to embrace your needs for dependency before you can genuinely grow through to finding your independence and then growing into being interdependent with others. BPD is really early childhood trauma and we wouldn’t expect a baby/small child to not have any dependency needs. When you’ve experienced a relationship with someone who can give you dependency needs with good boundaries, then you can feel confident to grow into an independent phase (teenage/early adult phase). Therapy is great if you can do it as it will give you the nurturing you need and should have got in early childhood and help you reach and complete those developmental milestones.

I clicked on this because I really think the idea and conscious practice of detachment is becoming mainstream and I was curious, but just like yoga it's a practice from Eastern philosophy that if practiced incorrectly can have more harm than benefit. This advice imho has some really good points and some really detrimental ones. Yes, being overly attached, and needing the other person to make us happy is unhealthy, also depending on external validation, other people's opinion as in the story is also unhealthy. The point with attaching labels and meaning making us attached to how we view something is a really great point that I couldn't have formulated better. But there's a difference between being resilient, being aware of the nondual nature of our life and denying the reality of our dual existence, meaning that we are human and we need to form connections and forming, protecting and nurturing our relationships doesn't make us weak, it requires us to be strong and stand up for our loved ones at the right time and place, situation. Not being able to do that is also weakness. So advocating for total detachment is just another extreme form of weakness. It would be too easy to live a life without attachment. But as Mark Manson or Mark Queppet - can't remember - says loving someone means, opening our heart and allowing the other person to hurt us, becoming vulnerable. Also a healthybrelationship requires both love, respect and trust. How could I trust a totally detached person? Spiritual detachment can really be used as a toxic tool by people who advocate for extreme individualism and even hedonism. Not maintaining the tenderness of our hearts and becoming stiff, rigid can break us, like a tree in a storm that has become way too hardened and thick. Life is a balance play, there are no quick fixes, despite some really good points you mention, I think we should mention the importance of vulnerability which is the foundation of intimacy deep connections and even genuine expression, or art. Maybe there are no one size fits all strategies. Some people need to toughen up, some need to remember their softness, whatever fits them. But I think remembering a balance is never a bad approach.
@bertramblik8826
@bertramblik8826 10 ай бұрын
Also if someone says one thing and does the opposite you simply ignore that person and remove them from your life? What happens when you do that to yourself? You cannot remove yourself. I think its important to be able to forgive as well. Setting boundaries and also being able to forgive, that is true strength. Remember the stoic virtue of holding higher standards for yourself than fornother people - not just loving yourself more than anybody ever could. Also, these things I believe, are slightly different for men and women. We all need self love, but the foundation of that is self respect, and women carry within themselves the bliss of simply being, and while men can also accept themselves the way they currently are that's not the essence of being masculine, and that would be missing the point. So let's be careful with the advice we give to people. I do realize that your advice is for women, but I think women also have to maintain their softness while being able to love and respect themselves, which for them should come from within naturally, like the flow of water, unless they have serious childhood trauma.

This was truly amazing and im so happy I came across this.. so many ppl tell you how to detach before becoming attached or how not to attach yourself. But no one teaches you how to detach when you’re already attached. I will continue to watch this over and over until it sticks for me. Thanks for this!

This is sooo true, I've been practicing this for quite some time now. Life has hit me so hard so often, that I came to a full stop and reflection of my myself and my life and I realized exactly what you have said. It is all about our own perception and how we handle it. Find yourself and be present in yourself, and nothing can ever hurt you ever again. You truly can create your own peace & happiness.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I am 51 years old and feel I am totally in control of my Outlook in life until I have someone in my life. Needed this video, thank God it was recommended to me. Had something very intense with someone for some weeks and then it just became very distant, so yeah. I haven't had any "thing" at all since last year, January. I learned how to love myself and be with myself and then I just lost control! Gave too much without asking and was just too much. I would call myself an "empath", I care about people too much, not just partners and I have a really hard time not basically "destroying myself" for the sake of others. I uplift others, put them on a pedestal and then put myself down, which I hate doing. I want to still love people, still care, still empower them but I want to be my friend too and do those things for myself FIRST. Thank you for this video!

Many important takeaways from Vickita that I have learnt until now: 1. Detach 2. Observing your feelings. 3. Manifestation should be comfortable and not being very tensed and forcing yourself to visualise. 4. Manifesting your dreams feel like a feeling of relief and you are still the same person and not magically transformed into an extraterrestrial being.

Realllllllyyyyy needed this. I’m finding myself always overthinking and trying to calculate every option and then spiraling when it doesn’t happen. I’m always scared of losing something important instead of realizing I’m going to be okay if I end up losing it. I have always suffered from self esteem issues and I’ve never truly loved myself. It’s goin to be a journey but every journey starts somewhere

I have dozens and dozens of examples through my life where I went through something that seemed so horrible and negative at the time. Life altering and devastating but something better ALWAYS came out of it. I work with people who are rebuilding their lives after recovering from addiction/mental health and I share these examples with them so often. “If it wasn’t for this unfortunate thing happening to me and leading me to this place then this VERY fortunate thing that happened to me would have never came to pass” 🤔 everything always happens for a good reason. I tell them that sometimes it might not be clear and they don’t have to even search for it but just know and believe the reason is there. I have also sometimes put it in the context that it may not even be THEIR reasons and it happened for someone they love and desire great outcomes for. The point is you don’t always have to see evidence of this to know that it absolutely always holds true whether you choose to see it or not

Thanks for a great video. I'm very sensitive to my environment, an empath, and I ruminate and have that anticipatory anxiety ALL the time and it's irrational. I’m no longer going to be holding on to past baggage. I already have this “every bad experience is a learning lesson and will strengthen you” mentality but from now on I won’t be having doubts anymore, I won’t ruminate for one extra second, if it doesn’t work in my favour then it’s simply not for me, if the outcome isn’t what I intended, I will only work harder and shoot higher!!

Your channel is powerful. The way you deliver your content with such confidence, authority, authenticity and eloquence makes you completely mesmeric and magnetic. I love how you brought up Abraham Hicks- i've been listening to her recordings for a couple of years and it has changed my mindset and ability to manifest completely. This video made me realize how my happiness today yesterday and everyday for a week was dependent on whether this guy would text me back… he was obsessed with me first, wouldn’t let me go to sleep during our FaceTime even when I was tired. Now it’s like he’s bored of me, says he’s busy but isn’t too busy to talk to people on twitter. It’s so hard to detach though because this is the first guy I told I love and truly did love. But he’s pulled way back and me being an avid watched of your videos knew I should pull back too…. It’s been two days and nothing. This is the longest he’s gone without messaging me

Detachment might be good to some degree. But to much isn't. Cause detaching yourself from your own feelings also leads to detaching yourself from the feelings of others. Detachment is unconcern is indifference is aphaty, which leads to disregard and disrespect. And those are things we DON'T need. For example, if I see people in situations I myself was in, I can practically feel their pain as if it was my own. As if it was me who got hurt and not just some random stranger. So not beeing able to detache yourself from your feelings completely isn't necessarily a bad thing. Cause your feelings can give you the courage and the strenght you need to support and help others. And the fact that not many people are able to do so, shows how much it's actually needed. * Also. Detaching yourself from your feelings is easier said then done. Especially If you a person who feels very strongly. Or If you're still very young. I personally feel like nobody is born that way and that you can't train that just by reading or watching videos on You Tube. Everyone has to ultimatelly expirience something that will lead them to decide between themselves and others. What is important for me/what do I want vs. what is important to others/what do others want. Only when this happens you will be able to clear out the REAL YOU. But this doesn't mean you have to walk this journey completely on your own. I don't think giving someone support or leading them in the right direction is a bad thing. Cause we all go astray sometimes. And we all once come to a point in our life, where we are confronted with difficult situations. And we might don't need a hero saving us all the time. But at times like this we surely NEED one. I still don't think all this bullshit who was forced on me was needed. At least not for me. It was needed for other people. And it is good for other people. To prevent them from experiencing the same. But it was in no way needed, nor good at all for me. What I would have needed was to know im not alone, neighter in my experiences, nor with my feelings and way of thinking. Someone who told me honestly, that I have my flaws and that I did in fact stupid and egoistic things. But so do others. And thats ok. That in the way I think, feel and behaive I will always be different than others and more often than not a controversity. But that those things aren't bad per se, cause they lead to discussion, which encourage you to rethink things. And that leads to change. That I should take my time to really overthink what is important to *me* and what *I* really want, from the people around me and from life in general. Then telling me to pursuit those goals one after another. But also telling me going astray isn't bad eighter, as long as I keep my goals in mind and always find my way back. Someone who tells me all my negativ attributes straight in the face, but also all my good ones at the same time. And you need to hear both from one person. This is important. Cause for people you are eighter the good one, or the bad, depending on *their expectiations*. And this is were it gets tricky. Cause you CAN'T judge someone by your own values, standards, opinions and beliefs. You need someone who does not measure by his own standards but looks at things objectively. Someone who tells you, you are good the way you are. With the good AND the bad. And that your flaws are a part of you too and that you don't need to hide them. Only then will you feel fully accepted. And only then you can fully accept yourself. "No matter what others might think and say in the future. Keep your faith and don't let yourself be diverted from your path. Not even by me." I would have wanted such a person. I would have needed such a person. And I really hope, that my pain and my suffering wasn't for noting. But something that does encourage other people, to be excatly this person for others. To be the hero I would have needed.

Buddhism in a nutshell teaches you to detach so that you can reattach to what you truly desire, rather than stay attached to what you have attached to unconsciously. No attachment allows you to ascend and reach Nirvana. But it also separates you from this world You say you want someone who looks at you objectively. But you also say you want someone who says you are good enough the way you are. If you are a cold blooded murderer are you good as you are? How about a liar? Or a cheater? Or a degenerate? Are you okay as you are? If you say you want objectivity then you must be ready to accept the truth about yourself, and the truth may be that you are not enough and need to better yourself In this case do you detach? Or do you choose Samsara?
