Me the car detailer : Spray heavy coat of very light soapy water...including air vents. Scrub tight areas with a tooth brush. Wipe down entire area with a teri cloth.. Hold the cloth in front of an air gun and blow the vents and tight areas dry.. blowing the dirty moisture into the cloth. The light soapy water really dislodges the dirt/grime from the plastic surface. Very effective. Saves a lot of time and energy . The air gun is the key to success. I do the same with the vinyl dressing and it comes out superb !

Thank you very much for sharing that we had tried them sometime back and it actually had left a residue on one of the screens on a touchscreen that we could not remove so we had to replace it, so now we just stick with what we’re doing, you have to be very very careful on Dash stuff because you never know what will react to lenses or plastic or who knows what

First, thanks so much for all you do and teach - I have learned a TON. My question regards the order of Coco shampoo -> 303 -> VLR. Can the VLR remove some of the 303 since VLR is also cleaner? Would it make sense to leave 303 for last? Is there much redundancy in using these three together? For the record I bought all three :)

Thanks for another great video. Had some questions: 1. Does the Coconut Mix soap leave the dash oily/greasy? I don't like stuff like ArmorAll because of it leaving that oily/greasy mess behind. 2. In the past when I tried feather dusters, it just moved the dust all over the place. I have had great luck with the Swiffer duster, it grabs all the dust. I don't know if it would scratch the plastic gauge lens or not. Have you tried it? Will that scratch the clear plastic? Thanks for your great channel.

Thanks for the video! Hey, guys is there a way to detail polished leather on the steering wheel? Or the only way is to keep it maintained so it won't go polish? Not my personal problem, but I think it is an interesting for many. Thanks again.

Do it just like you would the leather seats. Then do yourself a favor and get a steering wheel cover ASAP.

Do you use VLR (to shine it up), and then also 303 (to protect it)? Or does the 303 do both jobs? By the way, I really enjoy watching your vids. Straight to the point.
@SweetProjectCars
@SweetProjectCars 7 жыл бұрын
Alan we use either or....which ever you have works great :) VLR is a protectant as well..the 303 is a bit better but most cannot acquire it..if you have 303 just use that and you will be good to go.
@MV60
@MV60 7 жыл бұрын
I have both too, 303 is a lot better. When I did my steering wheel swap, I had to get different surrounds for it, and they were faded. The 303 got rid of that and brought the plastic up perfectly. Still looks good just after that first application months ago.

Cleaning the dash won't make it shine, are you talking about conditioning? For a non-shine conditioner use this amzn.to/2WQg0sB Hope this answers your question. Have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC

I have a car that sat for almost 2 years with the windows up and I used warm water just to get rid of some of the dust, but it almost feels a little melted?? And after the water dries the dash is super faded....any suggestions on how I could fix it?

Thanks for replying, yes here are a couple of pics, the dash used to be the same color as what you see to the right of the CD player (where you see the #’s 4 5 6 )and it looks black but the dash is now super faded....when you rub the dash it feels tacky...almost melted?? I live in Southern California, do you think it’s the heat melting the dye, or can it just be polished back to a new condition?
@SweetProjectCars
@SweetProjectCars 6 жыл бұрын
Velvet Barsz you will want to clean it with this amzn.to/2Ij3mJb spray it on a towel outside the car then wipe the area down, then apply this amzn.to/2jCHktN liberally and let it soak in 2 or 3 times a week for a month this to get the dash back to its normal color. then use it on all of your plastic, vinyl, leather and rubber hope this helps.

I just purchased 303 and must say it is not Armour All, which leaves a lot of shine. Much impressed with 303, no shine on my 2000 Jetta TDI dashboard! So I take back my comment. :) I can't get enough of your videos. Very helpful. I did my wiper blades and tires. I see I need a better jack. . . Much thanks again for sharing the best information so generously.

One comment to add. Put Endust on your feather duster. Give it a liberal spray. Then place your duster in your duster into a plastic bag over night. The next day use your feather duster and you will see the dust stick on the duster instead of the dust going everywhere. Take it outside and give it a good shake to clean. Try it. you will like it!
