So I'm just getting a chance to check out this video Larry did on my bike. I had a weekend bike trip planned for my birthday weekend, which was Father's day weekend. Out of the blue, he pops in and says "Hey, I was supposed to do a video today on my car, but I can't today, can I do your bike?" Hell yeah you can! I had some self inflicted damage that I wanted to temporarily cover up until the off season and discussed options with him. Next thing I know, he comes back and says "Dennis is coming next week, from DR Dent Solutions, he'll be here Thursday". So as I write this, it's Thursday evening, a week after Larry did my detail. Dennis came today and fixed up three damaged spots. The bike is showroom beautiful now. Dennis is to paint and dent, what Larry is to detailing, a real magician. As he's nearing completion this afternoon, I walk over to ask about how much cash I'll need to square up and he says "Oh, you'll need to take that up with Larry". Larry's been away all week, but he'll be in tomorrow, and we're going to have a conversation about this when he gets in. I help him often, but it's never big stuff, and I don't keep score. I figure someday I'll scratch a customers car and that's when he can return the favor. He went WAY beyond what he should have and I have to say a big "THANK YOU, LARRY"

Having reread this, I realized I left out just how killer a job Larry did. I mean it's obvious, you can see for yourself in this video, but I didn't want to come across like I took his work for granted. Last night, when I wrote the original reply, I was really in shock that Larry had arranged for Dennis to do his thing, at his(Larry's) expense. That was never the plan and I just can't get comfortable with that. Dennis spent nearly as much time as Larry did. They are both true artisans and I'm beyond appreciative of what they pulled off for me.

That’s awesome! I lost my “Steve”, this year who was a great neighbor and dear friend for many years. Dennis was always willing to help and was extremely handy. I learned a ton from him and will miss him and his friendship dearly! RIP Dennis!

Awesome job detailing Steve's Victory motorcycle. You made two excellent points at the end of the video that can't be stressed enough: 1. you have to make sure the seat is not slippery because you don't want to slide off the motorcycle; and 2. NEVER put any kind of tire dressing on the sidewall or any other part of a motorcycle tire because slick tires will result in losing traction and motorcycles often go down when they lose traction. One more point that you didn't make on the video, but is very important is that Steve's bike has floorboards on it. You never want to put any substance on motorcycle floorboards or foot pegs that will leave them slippery. Once again, great job on the detail.

I live through these videos, having no car, motorcycle or even a garage to work in. It'd be heaven if I did have a garage such as your studio but unfortunately not. That's why these videos give me a break from reality. It lifts my depression and calms down my pretty savage ADHD. Thank you. May more dirty cars, preferably older barn finds, come your way! It'd be a dream to be your camera man. I'm jealous of him as well :D

I also wash my motorcycles like a maniac, and compressed air is an absolute must, especially for older bikes. Had a '92 Intruder and it would barely start after a wash. But when I started using compressed air to blow away the water from the contact stub and handlebar controls, it would start normally. Plus you don't get wet from water that flies out of nuts as you start moving.

I watch every single video. I absolutely love the quality and sort of story telling/narration of products used and steps in detailing. It’s been years since a video has been made like the video from start to finish in real time in detail about paint correction with Brown. I would LOVE to see a video just like that, start to finish in real time on any restoration for both paint correction and interiors and coatings now in the Ammo Studio that wasn’t in existence at the time that video was made.

The paint quality is normal Larry, especially the metallics. I had a 2012 Victory Cross Roads with the same color paint, just none of the two toning with black. After detailing it using the methods I learned from you the red really popped! 😎 It was ten years old when I sold it with over 30,000 miles, and up until then, people would often as if it was new.

In reference to grabbing new towels after some amount of passes (Approx time: 5:30 - 5:45) I'm sure there are situations and other uses for the used towels, but what happens to the towels that cannot be saved? Are these be recycled or are they simply thrown out? I'm sure your shop and others go through TONS of towels buckets, fam pads etc. Best,
