OMG! Finally! I've been waiting for Audi to look like this since day 1 of the Audi series! It looks soooooooooooooooooo much better now! Please don't sell it! Show us how to fix the rust on it!
@milanmastracci6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Arunesh!! Fixing those parts that are rusty are quite simple to fix. I would replace the front fender with a new one, similarly to what we did with the golf, and then find used door panels and swap those. That would be the best bang for buck way to fix the rust on the car. The body itself is in quite good condition!

The car turned out looking excellent! You did a good job washing the car, other than I would a least have a clean bucket of water to rinse any dirt off your mitt. Spaying it with more suds is not going to flush the dirt as well as rinsing it in clean water.

I have a black 2017 VW Jetta and as you know, black cars are hard to keep clean. The car is only a year old and already has a few minor scratches to the paint, which I have no idea as to where they came from. I might do a good detail to the car to make it look like new again! Looks great. I would cover up the alternator and if the car has the ECU under the hood just in case as the seals for the connectors can go brittle and let water and dirt in. I just wrap them in foil since it can be molded and doesn't conduct electricity.

@Official_Intergalactic_Rhythm3 жыл бұрын
Yes it can, I watched Chris fixes video a while ago and he said to tape any sensitive wiring off and put a plastic bag over it all to be sure. He has a mustang so it might be different for this specific Audi and maybe the sensitive electrical s are under the plastic cover on the engine.

You are correct. I didn't because there is no need to. I've been cleaning engine bays like this, without removing the battery, without covering electronics, and am yet to run into any problems. Engines are equipped with water-proof connectors which makes cleaning a piece of cake

The Battery Connector is not waterproof. It is direct contact from the cable to the battery poles, and you can be happy that you didn’t kill several control units. And while the connectors are waterproof, that is also only true until a certain degree. They can corrode too.

Not sure I would spray water into my engine and onto the battery, alternator and other electronics. especially my 15 year old engine and electrics, are you sure that's safe? think i'll stick to APC and some microfibre clothes to wipe dry.
@alin8891able5 жыл бұрын
Pope when you are driving with 60 mph in the rain, water gets to those parts anyway. Also when you hit puddles, if you don’t have the underbody shield, it sprays up with plenty of pressure. It should be safe enough. Just don’t use high pressure on electric connections and its better if the engine is not piping hot.
@gallardof135 жыл бұрын
@@alin8891able but it doesn't splash onto those parts...
@alin8891able5 жыл бұрын
gallardof13 well it depends on the car but some cars have electrical components placed really low or in awkward places and it does splash on them. I drove one of my old cars through a flood and the electrics were fine. I guess it depends on the car.

Great video Milan. I really like watching your videos you go straight to the point without wasting time. I just have a question if you can help, what do you think of using Durpay neat steam cleaner, i couldn't find any reviews about this steam cleaner by customers, the only videos I found were done by the seller, and I don't really trust any seller reviews, can you please give me your recommendations for using the Dupray neat steam cleaner for car detailing.
@rudolfhuijs45265 жыл бұрын
Using a steam machine on your car provides a whole different level of cleaning. You can deodorise and sanitise the interior. Remove stains on upholstery. At the engine bay you degrease faster without chemicals over hoses, connectors and plastic elements. You have to test beforehand how much heat those plastics can resist. They can get hazy so, check heat intensity at the steamer nozzle. You can even remove contaminants from bodywork (must test before over a small and hidden area), as the body metal, primer coat, base colour layer and clear coat react differently to heat. At worst you can experience paint delamination so it is safer to test before and gather info from the web. Anyway, those steamers are excellent as a car detailing complement. They are green tech as they require very low level of water and provide a very high level of disinfection. On average the temp at the nozzle is around110 - 130 ° Celsius. Some brands feature temp regulation. Known brands are Kärcher, Vaporetto, Dupray. Check their websites and tech specs.

Tint should be applied to the inside of the windows, so polishing the outside should be fine. Glass is extremely hard though, zo if you really want to polish it, you'll need a glass specific microfiber polishing pad.
