Just got back into Valheim for Mistlands and as usual, great tutorials man! I watched a lot of your content and I've gotten so much more creative for stone structures and recently completed one of the prettiest looking castles I've ever made so far. Now after watching this, I think I'll need to start looking into focusing more on trimming and detail work for the wooden structures. Thanks for the great content!

i like to make balconies on my builds. I haven't seen anyone do them like mine, sorry no pics. I use the 26 roof tiles, straight, but instead of building them proper, I invert them, so they create a small well. Then I frame it all out, place a floor over the haystacks, so they don't show through. Cap it with a roof, and I end up with the exterior view showing the wood side of the build, framed it looks great, start at two meters down for a very deep balcony

I'm interested in ideas for building around Maypoles since we can't move or build them (other then when the devs randomly unlock them). Just the other day I build a new house around one but due to the freehand alignment I used for the center piece around the Maypole, the structure in one location down the width of the building was offset by about 1/6 - 1/5 of a 1by2. Luckily I framed the base of the walls off the ground so only the upper part of the walls and roof in this section were shifted slightly which could be hidden somewhat.

Certain build pieces need to be under a roof or they will lose half of their health and they will look kind of weathered.
