This video was amazing, I have no experience but was able to follow along, test my components and diagnose the same problem and fix it. Thanks so much!

So from Randy’s comment above I found a bridge rectifier from MOUSER ELECTRONICS the part number is 833-MB251W-BP Specs are 100V 25A If you are going to go this route and try fixing it yourself make sure you have a decent soldering iron to remove the old rectifier and add then new one. I made that mistake and I did not have a good connection on the first attempt. (The markings on the original bridge rectifier show MB251W)

Did you try this fix? and did it work for you? Did you use any type of Heat Sink Compound or thermal grease when you made this repair?

Very detailed video. Anyone aware of a similar video where the EasyTouch isn't communicating with the pump? I can turn the pump on manually, but not via the EasyTouch. My EasyTouch is communicating with the IC40.

Craig, Love the content. Need a video on adding a power center to an existing Easytouch and where to connect my ic60 RS-485 wire to work with the Easytouch controller.

Having found exactly the same problem, and not wanting to pay north of $250 for a new surge board, I did some investigation and found that the bridge rectifier on the surge board had failed. I replaced it with a $4 rectifier from Mouser with better specs (35A, 200V reverse voltage tolerance, 150C operating temp) and fixed the problem. Certainly changing out the board if the system is under warranty is the easy part. But it is quite easy also to repair a failed rectifier on these boards.

Do you have a photo of the bridge rectifier that you bought? I have the same problem. Thank you.

Hi great video! The problem I’m having is my the Salt Level Good light does not turn on at all even when system is first starting up and flashes from red to green only the red flashes and once it done starting up there is not Salt Level light on

I had the exact same problem with the breaker tripping once only however, the circuit board has power once resetting and the transformer is giving adequate voltage up to it checking it with the volt meter. What are your thoughts for next? Still no power to the cell
@AmmoMaster Жыл бұрын
OK... I do appreciate the video and it did help a lot, didn't know anything about the board and transformer. Was hoping for an easy inexpensive fix, previous research pointed to Salt Generator. Using your video, I did a MUCH more simplified route. My breaker trips on intelliclor panel, I unplugged salt generator harness from Intelliclor panel and breaker resets, plug salt generator back in and breaker trips... Problem is salt generator, no need to break out a multimeter and spend all that time checking voltages... now if breaker still trips with salt generator disconnected well yes you need to back track to find the problem.

At 3:59 "we have one of our probes connected to 'that' lead" - OK... what lead is 'that' lead??? Very useful information in testing if the transformer is still good... only if you connect to the correct lead! What part of "read my mind" engineering does Mr. Wooster subscribe to?

I'm looking to convert my chlorine system to salt. I have the ic40 in hand with the power center. I was looking for info on integrating with the easytouch system, specifically wiring the transformer to the 12 amp relay, to the board etc. Do you have any insight on this? Can't seem to find specifically what I'm looking for.

D1 light is blinking red but the intellichlor has all the necessary green lights on. What causes it to blink constantly? Fyi..FYI... I ran a self test on the intellichlor and all came back good, except for the cold water light (system off).

Hi! Thanks for the video. I'm not getting any reading to the transformer from the yellow and white wires. What does that mean and what should I check for?

I am having that same issue, did you figure out the issue? I tried replacing the high voltage replacing that didn't work
@AquaValleyPoolsSupport2 ай бұрын
This is likely caused by a faulty relay. By replacing the relay it should provide the power to the salt cell. One way of testing this it by pressing the little plastic pin located on the bottom of the relay. If this turns everything back on, this is all you'll need to replace.
@guild_navigator3 ай бұрын
I have the same exact panel. Are there any fuses on it I can check first? My IC40 has no lights and the panel says no comm to it.
@AquaValleyPoolsSupport2 ай бұрын
If your SWG power center (transformer) is located within the panel then you likely have a circuit breaker acting as your "fuse". It can be located on the top section of the panel in the bottom right position. If it is flush with the other 3 breakers it is not tripped and not the problem.

would a bad board also cause my pump to have a "Lost Communication" error?
@andrewsimpson9235 Жыл бұрын
I have the same problem. Have replaced the pump driver and the pump motor and still have the same problem. Now my heat pump is doing the same thing. The odds of both cables being bad are slim so I’m guessing it’s this board. Any idea what it’s called?
@apolloorosco6852 Жыл бұрын
@@andrewsimpson9235 my issue was resolved by a software update. I kept getting a comm lost error and always had to trip the breakers off-on . After the software update I haven’t had a issue ever since.
@alec14519 ай бұрын
I had no tripped breakers and no voltage from yellow wire. Does anyone know what could cause this?
@AquaValleyPoolsSupport2 ай бұрын
faulty relay. You can test this by pushing the little plastic pin located under the relay. If this powers everything back on you know that you're relay is bad. Replace that and you'll be good to go.
