Thank you for your very good video. Just couldn’t get the tumbler out until I watched your video. I picked the lock to get it off the tank. That was surprisingly easy. So now I will attempt to make a key otherwise I will replace all the locks.

Who knew there were so many parts to a modern bike's gas cap. Thanks for shedding the light & sharing.

Thanks for this video, it enabled me to swap tumblers from a parts bike to a restoration of a GS1000

I took mine apart to replace a broken screw and I couldn’t figure out how to put it back bc the parts fell apart when I unscrewed it and this video just saved me 🙏🏼

Very hard to find a video on this, thanks for making it! I have a Yamaha bolt and it's almost identical. My little flap came off and had no idea where the springs went that exploded all over the ground haha . Thanks again!

Thank you so much for showing this! I just had to replace the cap on my harley xg500 and this made it sooooo easy to swap the old tumbler into the new cap.

Thanks for putting this up. I have an identical one but this really helped. 👍

I used a fuel-proof lubricating paste called EZ Turn to lube the sliding pawls. One tube of EZ Turn probably lasts several lifetimes, but it's a great product.

Do you have anything on ke-keying the wafers? I want to buy a chinese replacement cap for my Ducati, but want to use the original key.

A big Thank you from Malaysia......for this video...as i was having a problem with mine of a Suzuki Gsx1100 1980 model tank cap.....Got a replacement from China and a friend also bought one, but says that it doesn't work....as these models has a very tiny vent hole which is not enuf to balance the tank pressure, if its blocked then have difficulty riding the bike, will stall after a few KM's and will need to open the cover and have to repeat the process. Hope you would have a video of the cap mentioned for this models......tq.

Great vid. I have the same cap.. how do I just remove that swinging door?. Do I just remove the 2 screws and gently remove the top piece? I'm trying to avoid multiple steps..
