Thank you for the reminder about keeping the density the same. I’m still working on my microlocs after getting inspired from your first video. With a toddler and nursing school responsibilities I am working on it a little at a time and wearing my hair in a bun in the meantime, but I’m super excited for when it’s finished! I am using kinky curly hair, and it’s exciting to know that I can change it to loose curly or any other texture whenever I want. Awww your very welcome 🩷! How many locs do you have? Lol I’m the same way, when I’m doing my hair. I work a little at a time everyday. Because it’s a lot of work but worth it at the end!

I am so glad I saw this. So my plan is to do at least 400 braid locs and mix my actual hair with curly bulk hair at least an inch from the roots. That way my starter locs will match my ends from the jump. I have lower back length relaxed hair and a treatment I did to it made patches break off at above shoulder length. I am going to cut off the damage and install braid locs extensions... I may crochet boho pieces once I finish everything. I'm so excited and I'm going to start this whole process after Veterans Day 2024.

I still have in my last set of curly loc extensions (thanks to your videos) and they've held up pretty well but I haven't tried using the crochet hook yet. I will try that on my new install with this long Bohemian hair I just received. I usually don't use a brush, I just finger detangle when washing it in the shower and that helps to avoid too much shedding. Thank you for the detailed video! ❤

Omg yes try the crochet hook!!!! It is a game changer. It really does take way more time to do the method but worth it!! Long bohemian hair sounds so cute! Can’t wait to see 😍

Thank you for this video. I currently have sisterlocs and I don’t have many loose ends so I’m trying to figure out how to make the extensions work 🤣 also do you have a take down example or do you just cut above the knots and take it out like braids?

Your welcome 😊 if you really want the extensions. You would probably have to comb the bottom of your locs carefully. So you can get loose ends. I don’t have me taking down my extensions in my last loc video before this one. But I need to do a separate video for it. You do it exactly how you explained it 🩷

A lot of my ends are thinner than the bulk of my locs because of previous heat damage/breakage. So i have been having difficulty adding hair. Would you advise for me to just add the hair above where the heat is (some locs thats like half way up) or just wait and gradually cut the heat damage off

You should gradually cut off the heat damage. And when your locs are in a more healthier state attach the ends on 🩷. When I first start my clients locs, I always advise them to cut off any damaged ends. Therefore the extension won’t be thin at the ends. I hope that made sense ✨

How long did this take you to do and what size are your parts(1/4 in)?

It took me forever!! But I’m really lazy with my hair because I do hair all the time. I feel like my back and the sides of head parts are 1/2 of an inch and as I go up it gets to 1/4 inch (In my last 5-6 rows in the front) I have 15 rows on each side in the front.

@@isianacarrcoleman I only offer one kind right now. And that’s the betterlocs hair. Which was my first set of extensions. If you want to do different hair. You don’t have to select the second option, you can bring your own hair. 😊

@@knottyJaGirl ohhh I never used their kinky hair. But I’m looking at it right now and the reviews look good 😊. Just expect to pull the extra bulk hair they add to the bundle. But after you pull the extra hair out it should be good hair. Also it does have a bit of a smell. You would have to wash the hair good 🩷

So extensions at the end have to be replaced. How can they last 2 years vs 1 year? Like as long as possible. The extensions probably dry different. Idk.

It all depends on the hair you get 😊 and also how well you take care of the hair 🩷 it can go 2 years. The feel of the hair will change over time. But still very possible.

Your locs are beautiful 😍! Yeah I would suggest testing on one of your locs. Comb the loc till you have about a inch of loose hair then attach the curl. It’s the only way I know how to do it.

What inch is the hair that you’re using?…… the extension?

24,26,28 inches. I started with a 28inch on my bottom locs. Once I styled it, I cut the length a little bit. I need to do a updated loc video ✨
