You don't have to take the pin out and spin the bracket. You can leave all that intact and just loosen the nut and spin the shaft accordingly and obviously retighten afterwards. I've done this on my 2017 right away when I bought the car at about 100 miles on the odo. When I got my 2023, which was in late 2022, I totally forgot about this adjustment and I drove it untill 7500 miles without adjusting it. I just adjusted it like last week actually. On my 2017, I also took out the helper spring. On my 2023, I don't really feel the need to do that yet.

Thanks for figuring this out and sharing! I just did this adjustment, and have some tips to add for anyone trying this: pliers work well for pulling the U-shape pin out so it doesn’t go flying. When you put it back, make sure you put the straight side through the hole in the rod, not wrapped around the very end with the white plastic ears. Also, a screwdriver works well to pry the metal rod loose while you pinch the white ears with your fingers. Lastly, the nut holding the spin-able bracket in place was stuck hard. I had to hold the bracket with an adjustable wrench while using the 12mm to break the nut free. We’ll see if it was worth all the back pain tomorrow!
@jg7263 ай бұрын
You do not need to remove the pin. You just need to loosen the nut then push the clutch in slightly and you can easily rotate the rod bolt. (I found that 1¾ turns was good. I used a sharpie to mark it) Once you found the position you want then just tighten it up. This will allow for you to dial it in better.

Just did it? With 3 full turns didn’t have to adjust the sensor nut Also changed to softer spring that was a lot harder than the pedal adjustment So much easier to drive day and night Very happy

Thank you for this. Im 20k miles in, although I got used to the stock pedal travel I never liked it. I did 4 turns and the car feels far less clunky to drive. Rev matching also a lot easier now.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I got my 24 gr86 couple days ago, and I didn't really liked how the clutch is too deep and bites at the end point. I did 5 turn first, but for me the bite point was too close, and I ended up with 3 turn. And didn't need to adjust the sensor nut. It was pain in the ass work on it but wow man, it feels like another car and it is perfect. Thank you again bro!👍

Feels are subjective but... you should want the bite point as high as possible. Sounds more like you developed the bad habbit of flooring the clutch instead of pushing it just enough for it to disengage.

Crack the nut loose. Turn the rod. No need to remove the pic and pull it out and turn it. Absolutely no accuracy doing it this way. You turn the rod, not remove the buckle part and turn it. Doing it your way you’re only able to do whole or half turns. No fine adjustment.

Won’t this wear out the clutch faster?

From the reading I’ve done no. However if it is to close as in touching the flywheel it can wear away some of the pads. Is it true? Idk 🤷♂️

@@ShayHarambe Never once has this been an issue in my car in over 92K miles, I got 58k on my oem clutch. 32k on an s2 clutch, now only 5k out of my last clutch. My mechanic installed both, & they were the ones to deliver the bad news on the current clutch. I asked them about pedal adjustments on hydraulic clutches and he couldn't help me. So once I get it back I'll def be under it. I STILL HAVE YET TO SEE ANY 2015+WRX Video/form/ link regarding this. The only info related to this situation is for 86/brz/frs. Hence why I'm looking for confirmation from other WRX owners.
