I'm new to triathlon this year. The problem I always have had in the pool for swim training and the beginning of the two triathlons I completed is not being warmed up. My heart rate goes way up at the beginning regardless of how easy I swim and then settles back down after a couple minutes. When looking at my heart rate for my runs, it does the same thing. So I definitely need to start doing some good warm-ups to get my body ready. So, definitely, thank you for the timely and very helpful video!

It's hard to do warmups when you're waiting poolside for the swim start. I normally just do stretching and arm rotations, although yesterday I accidentally hit the competitor next to me whilst doing arm rotations. They weren't too pleased, even with the apology!

Nice video, my problem with warm up is that is not possible to enter swimming pool earlier because of the pool rules.

Go for a 5 minute jog on the beach. Helps me get rid of the opening 100 heart race.
