Actually, after rinsing it off your skin after 24 hours, you should wait 2 more days before dying your whole head. Sometimes it can take up to 2-3 days before a reaction happens.

I have no reactions at all from patch tests yet last colour same professional one I always use I could barely breathe so sometimes it's a now show. Please anyone that has tingly lips-dizziness when a dye is applied rinse off asap & go to a medical professional. Hair dye is NOT worth dying for...I got big scare indeed.

why would anyone do a test so close to the carotid artery, so close to the brain, on such permeable skin? The results could be more disastrous than they otherwise might be if tested elsewhere. Also, how do you sleep without destroying your pillow case covers or getting the patch transferred to the back of your ear?

i think it's because the dye penetrates your hair follicles. the chemicals have to soak deep for the color to remain and most people use an after color sealer too, but a patch test will wash off in a week since it's such a thin layer. i guess to summarize maybe your hair pores are bigger/deeper than skin pores?

They recommend to leave the patch test on for as long as the color has to stay on normally. You wouldn't leave a hair dye on the scalp for 48 hours so why leave the patch test that long. After 30 min or so you can wipe it off and then wait 24 hours or 48.

As soon as you lay down to sleep, the product will be wiped off on the pillow. How are we supposed to keep it for 48 hours???
