I used the same product with the same exact feel and results just with out the rods. I like the way my hair came out. My hair looks very similar to yours. I use the same technique after every wash with that hour to complete. I'm so glad you shared this. Thank you.

Hey everyone I forgot to mention in the tutorial that you can use whatever gel or edge control you like to achieve this high puff. For extra shine I like to use oil sheen on my hair. Enjoy!!

Mona, thanks for this video. After a recent recommendation to try Goody bands, I had been looking at various pouf bands, including Goody and less popular brands. I found the right width but couldn't find one with what I'd guess would be the right length. It NEVER dawned on me to just cut the long one and tailor it! It's the little details that get me at times! Thanks for that tidbit!

The high puff turned out great!! but I accessorissed it with a clip in bow (off-centre and pushed back into the fro so it looked like it was tacked onto the band) It was sooo cute. Now I have 2 new hair styles thanks to you. Keep up the good work. Btw, I had to invest in ecos-tyler gel and I did not realize there were so many different kinds. I use the one with argan oil because water base will only shrink my hair.

I have short 4c hair also but I had to use some heat to pull my hair out first before I could do my puff. Without the heat stretch my hair shrinks waaaay too much to achieve a puff.
