Thanks for showing the right way to change the transmission filter.. and the extra for issue with cruise control... Mine does the exact thing. I thought it jumps off of cruise control because of the weight of my hand control... But now i diffidently need to look into that switch

I cant remember if I talked about it but check the break switch also if you hear a click the moment you just touch the brake pedal it may be to sensitive so give it one full turn so you have to push the pedal down farther

When I replaced the flexplate and converter on mine, I took the pan off and did the internal filter as well since I was not the first owner of the truck and it had 270k miles (trans supposedly rebuilt). Highly recommend "LubeLocker" gaskets. My friend has a 1000 in a duramax so we went to our local allison dealer and bought 10 gallons of the castrol branded transynd. If you look at the viscosity index it's pretty dang impressive stuff. Stays thick when hot but stays thin when cold!

30k miles change spin on filter. 60k miles change spin on filter / drain and refill 100k miles change fluid and both external and internal filters. Disregard the 24 months unless you're doing continuous driving.

Allison does not recommend replacing the internal filter that should only be done after a rebuild.

Yes but they do not recommend changing the internal filter unless its a overhaul.

@@ktoutdoor yes. 2017 Newmar Ventana LE 3709… I’ve done all the maintenance myself except for the Air Dryer Filter… and I believe it’s a real Bear to do…. Was hoping to see a video of it on a Newmar.

I was wondering...it seems Allison is recommending transyn is it ok to mix that with the dextron 3 that won't come out during the oil change?...Thanks great educational videos

I did a double drain and fill that will get all the dextron out of it they also say to replace oil filter after the 2nd drain, I think I drove it about 50 miles between the first and second drain and fill.
