While u have the spark plug out why not perform a compression test ? Seems to be a good time to do this especially as part of maintenance and noting overall condition of your equipment...,

Hey the specific gap on the plug would be a good heads up. As with the good and bad brands to go with or stay away from.... my local stihl dealer just sold me a Bosch spark plug in a funky box and didn't know it till I got home... what should we be usin? Champion? Bosch?...

you can clean the whole saw with WD40 - EXCEPT inside the sprocket where u sprayed it !
