Hi Kimberly, you are welcome! Thanks for watching, glad the videos are helpful to you. What rank are you testing for in Nov?

I'm testing for my black belt at the end of Nov...I had an accident a few months ago..hurt my shoulder, neck and head. I was out 3 months...trying to get back on track...lol I have a pretest at the end of Oct to see if I'm ready. So that's why your videos have been so helpful ... Plus I saw your Texas flag :)

Sucks about the injury, but good that you are getting back on track. Good luck on your pretest and Chodan test. Are you training in Texas?

I'm struggling to find my old staff form that I used to know online. It was called Bong Sool Cho Dan. The grip is different than yours. For my form the right hand would be facing up in Chun Bee and the first few moves that I remember are different but the name is so close. Do you happen to know what for I'm talking about?

Thanks for watching! I've not heard of that one before. I know there are some other staff forms with the grip you are describing. That grip is done a lot and alternates in Kung Fu weapons forms, which I do many of. Was Bong Sool Cho Dan done in a Tang Soo Do organization or school?

@@Rockholdkarate My school taught both Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo. We never switched the grip during the form though there were some overhead spins and side spins.

Does Taekwondo have staff forms? I know the Tang Soo Do ones were bolted on in the 80's, maybe 70's.
