I have been trying to get into the splits for the past few months.. I started with dancer stretches, ballet, yoga and literally followed every youtube video out there. None of them were helpful in actually getting down on the floor in the splits. It's like I'm stuck at the 4inch gap. I will try your method! Thank you so much!!

Thank you for this video. In most classes I attended where I live, I got no precise instructions. Everyone just seems to do what "feels good". But I love detailed instructions, and learning about the benefits of doing the poses right. I've been making some of the mistakes, too. Very good to know. I'll research it further and implement it into my practice.

In the lunge walking position is it ok for the front knee to be way ahead of the ankle? I have usually heard that knee should be directly over ankle. Please clarify. Thank you for a very helpful video.

Hi. For the actual pose it would be better if it's at the level of ankle or slightly ahead. But when you walk like this the gliding motion happening in the legs will put less strain on the knee and shift it to hips and back which we need for Hanumanasana. Excellent question.. Subscribe 😊🙏🏼

What are the uses of hanumanasana

It's an advanced pose with immense benefits. At physical level it effects the pelvis and back by giving a deep stretch to these regions. Similarly it strengthens the hamstrings and calf muscles helps in improving posture and alignment. At internal and energy level it improves the gut health and invigorates the reproductive organs keeping the hormones and chemicals within them in check. These are a few to name. 🙏🏼
