I put another shower curtain rod in the back of my shower by the wall and put the shirts on hangers to dry and drape the pants over, then put a fan blowing on them. I do have a window over my bath though so I open it as well and my clothes are dry in about 4- 6 hours. I have another hanging rod on wheels in my room if I need to move them to wash more clothes or so I can shower once they are no longer dripping. Just put a towel under the rack

You did a great job! You can do less work by soaking your clothes for about 3 hours, plunging them with the plunger for a few minutes, and then rinsing two times. Great video!

Hi , I tried using a plunger but the bottom part of it came off what type of plunger do you use?
@SashaMoniqueTalks3 жыл бұрын
@@michellenicole678 I use a plunger from Dollar Tree. I have had it for more than two years. You have to make sure that you screw it on tight. It works very well. I have some mini washing machines but I still use this method sometimes. I put detergent and warm or hot water, plunge for a few minutes . Drain out the water and then put more detergent and water and let your clothes soak a few hours or overnight. I have a spin dryer also to spin those clothes out and then hang them up to dry. It is easy and very effective.

I use a plunger with a broomstick handle, then let it soak for half an hour, then more plunger. Then rinse with clean water and white vinegar using the same procedure. Wringing is done by placing clothes on a board and squishing the water out with a rolling pin. Then hanging up

Thanks for sharing, I love to see videos like this. I hand-wash most of my clothing and have found by using a strong floor fan aimed at the drying rack, clothes are dry in a few hours. Just a small tip that may or may not work for you. Thanks again for sharing.

I had my son drill a few holes in my plunger, works great. I put a second shower curtain rod over the middle of the bathtub in my guest bathroom and hang my laundry on the rod to dry. Works for me !

To avoid waiting "a day or two" just lay your clothes out in a large absorbent beach towel, and roll the towel up, putting pressure on the towel with your hand or knees. This is essentially a "wringer", and the towel will absorb a shocking amount of the water. I find clothes dry in about eight hours, ten at most. Obviously if you can hang them outside in the sun it would be even faster. Hang the "wringer" towel up afterwards (its just water that's coming out of the clothes.

I often wash comforters, blankets, and rugs in the bathtub. I have been washing clothes in sinks but your way you get it all done together and I should try that. One thing that I am so happy that I purchased is a spin dryer. There is both the Panda spin dryer and the Ninja spin dryer. It speeds up drying so much and you do not need to put a drying rack in the bathtub. You can put it anywhere in the house because the clothes after getting in the spin dryer will not drip. Synthetic fabrics are even likely to be nearly dry.

I bought a twin tub and the spin dryer is amazing, I don't recommend hand washing a lot of items without one.

@@dinarusso3320Yes, great machines. I tried out a twin tub machine too but I didn't have room for it on my main floor bathroom but had enough room for a stand alone spinner. I do have laundry in the basement but I got the spinner for all of the hand washing I do. I am familiar with both types. I think they work equally well spinning the water out. The only difference is capacity. The Panda and the Ninja might have a bigger capacity than even the largest twin tub machines.

When I was young and poor, I did laundry in the bathtub. I'd speed along the process with a toilet plunger and also walk in the tub as if I were mashing grapes. A good workout, as you say. I'd let outerwear go for three or four wearings too. Outerwear just isn't dirty after one wearing.

I agree. I always wash my clothes in hot water no matter what the garment Care tag says. I feel like your clothes don't get clean otherwise. It's sort of like how we don't take cold showers unless it's to cool off. Cold water does not clean you. Cold water does not clean your clothes.

This is much more feasible if you use a good centrifugal spin drywr- that's how I managed for a few months when I had no electricity to my kitchen after a flood. Clothes dry within hrs. I also had a small scrub board, which I still use to pretreat stains. I was washing for 4 adults.
