This video was terrific and to the point. I did the conversion this morning. HOWEVER, one minor issue delayed things. The wiper arms were corroded onto the spindles and impossible to remove. I tried using penetrating oil, WD40, even Deoxit. They would not budge. I was about to give up when I decided to go back to the PC and quickly check if there was a video that could assist in solving the issue. There is and it's from CarSpyTV: "How To Remove Stuck Windscreen Wiper Arms (Without Special Tools)". I gave that method a try and it worked like a charm. The rest of the mod was a breeze! THX.

Yep, same case for most wipers. Worth buying a wiper arm pulling tool, they’re cheap enough.

All wiper arm front and rear should be designed to park vertical. Will be doing this mod as I have just bought a clubman S R55.

Have owned mt R55 S since late 2016. Just some hints... 1) Change the oil & filter every 5K miles (8K KM); using 5W-30 full syn, or 5W-40 full syn). Do this and you will avoid major issues/costs. Check oil levels frequently...at least every other gas tank refill. Never let the oil go below midway between low and full. NUMBER ONE best way to extend engine & turbo life on this car. 2) Use Seafoam on the dirty side valve cover intake (hose connected nearest to passenger side rear corner of valve cover). With the engine warm, run car at 2K RPM and carefully allow the vacuum in the hose to draw about a dixie cup amount (4-5oz.) of the seafoam liquid, stopping the seafoam draw and covering the hose with your thumb if the car begins to stall. After all the seafoam is drawn, shutdown the engine and let the car sit for 30 minutes. Then, run the car at 4K RPM (drive it in lowest gear) to burn out the excess carbon buildup in the intake. Do this at least 1 time per year or every 10K to 12K miles. 3) At least once a year, nearing the time for an oil change (about 1 full gas tank interval before the oil change), add 4oz of Seafoam to the OIL fill. This will clean out gunk in the engine. 4) Add 8 oz of Seafoam to a full tank of gas at least once a year...this will help keep injectors and fuel system clean. 5) You will have oil leaks from time to time. Do as much as possible when the front of the car is taken apart and in "service mode": a) upgrade the rigid oil feed line to turbo with the stainless steel flexible feed line (kit) and in that kit, also change the oil return tube. b) change out the gaskets to the Oil Filter Housing and the Oil Cooler; its one component, so do both sets. c) If the valve cover is leaking, consider upgrading to a cast aluminum after-market cover that's less likely to warp with heat (it's half the price of the Mini OEM valve cover, so its a no-brainer). In any event, use high temp gasket sealer/maker on the driver side corners in conjunction with a new gasket, to prevent leaks. If your Mini has the N18, just change the PCV (new kits available on eBay) + new gasket (+ gasket maker). 6) If an automatic, do make sure to change the so-called "lifetime" transmission fluid (drain fluid, do not flush) and replace with Mini or Toyota (ATF III) fluid every 75K miles. A kit comes with new filter & gasket. 7) Be alert to timing chain...every 100K miles max. EXPENSIVE repair that will be delayed with good oil change intervals and keeping the oil level near FULL. 8) Thermostat housing. These tend to fail at or above 50K miles. I did this one myself...it's a bit of a pain...but manageable. I also changed the cross over tube connecting the thermostat housing to the backside of the waterpump outlet. Requires some additional tools...like a fiber optic camera to see under the intake manifold, behind the engine; also a 1 foot long pick tool if the tube ends breaks at the water pump and you need to remove the gasket and plastic end pieces...trust me on this one!

wow way cheaper than filling holes. and paint job. cant wait to do mine. not sure how u thought of this. this is genius i hate how stock is especially when cleaning car and dust builds on top of wiper r55 club
