How to dodge a POW block in Mario kart wii trick

The POW Block is a terrifying item, as it literally scares me to death as soon as it appears above me. The worst part is that I will lose my items unless I'm airborne. This video helps, though.

Thanks dude. I was always wondering how to dodge pow blocks, and a lot of poeple told me just to do a wheelie. well problem was, i use karts man, not this new bike stuff. so im glad i can do this to avoid them, maybe. I haven't tried it out yet.

its where you drift along a straight piece of track in a zigzag motion so you can get the boost you get after you drift for a certain period of time. Its easier to do on the DS version

wheelie is the actio were ur bike goes on one wheel and drives. apprently it's a speed boost. the wheel button on the GC contoller is the one facing "up" or "north" ill say (if you put the GC controller on a flat surface and looked at it from above) on the D-pad (the cross looking button-direction....thing)

Shaking might seem to work, but it's worse than the other thing cause it's more hard to concentrate on other things while doing it. For example, you will hardly find time to shoot away your shells or make a crucial turn that prevents you from falling into a chasm.

If Nintendo didn't include this weakness, the POW Block would be a good item in Mario Kart Wii. I mean, it's not bad, the execution is just terrible.

CANT ONLY ON WII. BUT U CAN dodge it by ramping then pow done when u in mid air. or when the pows almost done u can jump and dodge it

i dunno. u should try using the nunchuk if u dont like the wii wheel. its easy with the nunchuk. u turn usin the analog stick and the analog stick is similar to the gamecubes. and its easier to do tricks. u lift ur wii mote.

If you dodge the POW Block you can actually jump over stage hazards. I was actually able to jump over the Cars in Coconut Mall. But dodging the POW Block.
