The last guy knows what it means to be an O-linemen... If you become good at Stoning with your hands before he gets tricky, your chances of shutting him down increase. He may have more finesse than you but if you give him a good O-Line punch first it make your job a lot easier .

Without pads on it is SO much easier on defensive linemen. If you are a good O-linemen you grab the d-lineman's pads covering his chest. Its a lot easier to rip and swat hands when they can't grab onto anything.

It's your initial punch. You have to punch first with your hands inside and pull them back or latch on before he punches. Whether it's a kick set, drive set or shuffle set you have to punch first with your shoulders back with a good base. Quickness wins. If you notice in the video, they never changed the cadence either so most of the D line just anticipated the snap easier. It's not realistic. What you play?
@unkameat7412 жыл бұрын
That's right coaching football I stress that a good o line will give us great odds for scoring,without those boys you have no offense...o line ballas keep up the hustle..

I'm an old school guy and I still believe games are won at the line of scrimmage.All those great skill players on offense don't mean anything without blocking,and if your defensive line can't apply pressure,you're gonna have to blitz more leaving holes to be exposed.(That's just my take)

Everyone is important on the team. as a olinemen i hate when skills dont appreciate what we do. you try holding a 350 lb just so you can throw a shit pass make a bad read on a block or drop an easy ball and then you get on us when we make a little mistake.

To all of you people talking about these guys: Where are you right now and where are they? You think just anybody gets invited to these camps? These are some of the top recruits in the nation. As far as technique goes: They're only in high school and the schools that are offering them scholarships realize this. Not everyone is ready to go pro straight out of high school. With good coaches, these kids will become great.
