The best reward you can possibly give yourself is that feeling of success at the end of the day with all your tasks completed and that feeling is so great that it makes you chase after it everyday. It's the feeling of satisfaction, happiness and being mentally at ease that is bigger than any amount of dopamine you can get from gaming, web browsing or whatever.

Everyone is looking for ways to be more productive. These tricks you shared are totally on point. And I agree with you on that part that it is a mental battle so when you win or feel you had a productive day, reward yourself (trick#4). The feeling of a productive day is somewhat euphoric. I had a discussion with Daniel Pink, author of 4 NYT best-sellers, about how getting the timing right will improve productivity and wellness for you. Totally helped me be more productive!!!

3:41 Oooohhh, i know this very well, the more i used to think the more chaotic my brain would be with what and how to say it and how it would seem, at one point i would start to consider what i didn't considered, and worse and worse my mental state would be to the point i would mess up thing that i could do like i breath (well, in this case apparently i didn't know how to do that too). I realized that confidence is not enough cause the fear of loss and failure might consume you, and if i did my best and still failed what that says about me? Sometimes "at least i tried is not enough," especially when you implode. Even though competence is important i think we need a way to discipline that monkey in our minds and come to terms with the unpredictable and out of our control part of reality.

Online school just started for me, and I USUALLY work in my room on my desk that I don't rlly do anything on. I was really productive and often would finish school and homework before the "school day" ended. One day though, I decided to work downstairs so I could be near my mom,,,,but it didn't rlly work out. I ended up finishing all my work at nearly 1 am!!! At this table I would eat, draw, play games, talk to family, and be on my phone. It was a disaster :((( After watching this though I see why I was so unproductive that day!! Thanks improvement pill :))

This is so interesting. I rent a room in a house and don't have access to spaces outside of my room for study, creating ideas to work on for possibly generating income etc. So my 'bed' was the place where it all happened, I would watch YT vids from bed, eat while sitting or lying on the bed, study while sitting on or even lying on the bed etc etc.... Just recently changed this that I'll only sleep on the bed and maybe sit on it in between sets of my workouts. Otherwise I sit on a chair to study etc. It's only a box room so space is very limited. But, overall I'm just feeling a lot better since starting this in the last few weeks. The craziest result is that now, when I turn off my computer and get into bed. Even if I try to read, or listen to some music on my phone through the earphones, I find I am really sleepy in less than 15 minutes. That never happened before, I was just lying there watching YT and aimlessly surfing and didn't really feel tired. Now I've removed the association of bed with eating, studying or internetting, I'm falling asleep so quickly.

I'd also recommend working out one way or another, from walking to actually hitting the gym. Both have had a positive effect on my concentration. That being said if you work yourself to the absolute limits in the gym it might be a bit hard to focus straight after. And shout out to the active recall and spaced repetition. Better to engage with the content frequently but in shorter burst for it to stick than study for hours on end. Your brain gets exhausted as much as your body can.
