Ya know for those who have an iPhone 4s or iPad 2 (2011 original), you can first downgrade through IPSW to iOS 6.1.2 as a signed software version without a jailbreak and then just update the device through settings after the downgrade. In 'software update', the update option will be shown as iOS 8.4.1, that's what I did with my 4s. Thought it would be worth mentioning. ;P

CWonderchild CW Ok, so, first, what iOS 12 version are you on? If you are in 12.0 stay there as it’s not signed by Apple and you can’t downgrade to it. That’s what my 5s is on (while waiting for jailbreak to downgrade). Now, when the jailbreak for that version comes out, you will jailbreak and install Filza. Then, you will open Filza and navigate to the SystemVersion.plist file and open and edit. Then you will change the “Version Number” to 7.0.3 and “Build Number” to its corresponding build number which is 11B511. Then “Save” and then “Done” and close out of Filza and restart your phone. It will either give you the updating software progress bar. Nothing will change but in settings-general-about, it will for “Version 7.0.3” and for “Build 11B511”. Then go back to “Software Update” let it load (Can take a while so be patient) and VOILA! iOS 10.3.3! Then, Download and install. *Anything that may happen to your iPhone or do something wrong will not be blamed on me.*

I got my iPhone 5 used, so when I got it it was running iOS 6. I updated it to iOS 8 but it's wifi connection got absolutely horrible. My phone would constantly stop updates. So I had to live with iOS 8 for a couple weeks. I didn't really like it, the apps I had used on a daily basis on my iPad Air 2 didn't have support for iOS 8. It was VERY annoying to live with, and I basically had a mini party when the iPhone finally stopped shutting off updates. So yeah.. I probably won't try to downgrade.

If this OTA Method isn’t working for you (It tells you that there was an error checking for the update,) try using the older OdysseusOTA2 method with the custom IPSW and going into KDFU mode. It worked for me.

For those who can't add 'repo.ftios.vn', follow this! Add this instead 'ftios.vn', install it. Then head to the search tab, and search 'downgrade' then you should see 'Downgrade iOS 10.x to 8....' then just install it like in the video. Don't forget to wipe everything after the downgrade!
