Software extraction/install and slowness can exist on older or slower PC/Laptops and even take a few hours to finish the install. Leave screen on. Once the install starts you can close the internet browser if you like too.

@@speed17gsa94 Hmm... i reset my phone in factory settings because i forgot my password. You could try if you knew the apple id otherwise you wouldn't be able to get back into your phone, If that doesn't work then you can contact apple.
