What do you think of this long, two-part tutorial? I wanted to put both parts out at the same time since I originally said it would be just 1 video. But now I'm realizing I should've put the first one out last week so that the 2nd part wouldn't be the first one people see. Oh well! My next tutorials will hopefully be better😊

Thank you for creating these tutorials! I really liked the 3 views, it has been really helpful. And your explanations and voice is very soothing! One question I have thats unrelated to drawing hair: is there a way to draw in dimples in a face portrait? I would really like to feature that in my drawing but I can't seem to get it to look past a dot or line on the face. Thanks !

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Not sure what medium you're using, but if you are drawing the dimples as part of your line art then maybe instead try adding the dimples as part of your coloring. Draw them in using a shade that is a tiny bit darker than the rest of the skin in that area, this way you'll show it as part of the face and not just a line or dot on the face. And be sure to use the same shade that you use for the dimples on other wrinkles on the face too (like on the eyelid creases) so that it looks natural. Hope that will help!

Ah okay, I think I'll have to keep practicing at that ! I've just started learning how to sketch simple portraits and I want to get into watercolour portraits but I'm starting out with faceless ones so your hair tutorials are perfect for me too!
