Just curious. Once you get the eye the way you like it, can you change the colour of the eye to whatever through setting or whatever? I may want to change it to purple, yellow, anything, without having to redraw the eye.

Great tutorial! I'm wondering why the saturation of my eye, including the iris, is weakened by the background. I checked all my layers and they are exactly like yours. The background is skin color and it's coming through all the layers causing the intensity of the blue and pupil to be skin colored too. Hum.

The only thing I could think of is your opacity on those layers is not set to 100% so the base colour is showing through.

If ur layers are all at 100% opacity, what I did was select the skin layer, and erase while having the iris & pupil on. It will only erase those colors showing thru, as long as the skin layer is selected. I couldn’t figure it out either, it could also be the brush we selected. Even though it’s turned all the way up on opacity, the brush itself may not be as opaque. Kinda like watercolor vs inking brush. Opacity will be 100% turned up, but the color it lays down will be different. If I like a brushes texture but want more color, just duplicate it & go into brush settings & make sure under “properties” that the opacity is 100% & go into “wet mix” make sure dilute is turned down. Hope this helps. 😊

Hi lovely lady, can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong? When I try and fill the white or blue and it covers the whole screen I can move left to right to alter the opacity but cant' make it fit into the shape like you did with the white of the eye and the blue of the iris. I've had to hand paint it all in. :)

Make sure your outline is fully closed! If there is a small gap (in the texture, for example), it won't work
