@@sr.metang8193 I usually choose a different place every time. Sometimes the hair and having it match close to the original color. If their clothing had patterns it's put in the clothes. Sometimes I'll even put it in the eyes since I add so much detail into the coloring!

This was in the computer era. You can tell by the animation and the coloring. It was all done by software.

@@straightpipediesel that's not how 2D computer animation works. You still have to draw the frames to animate. It's just using digital as a medium instead of physical cells. A person still does the drawing.

@@Cruznick06 Nope, it is how it works. They drew the Homer as a path, draw one hand, and the software follows the path. At key points they applied a slight rotation to the hand. Animation is drawn at 12 FPS max due to the work. You can tell by the smoothness that it was computer generated. Further, a lot of animation is actually 3D modelled and rendered to look 2D drawn, see Futurama and later Simpsons.

Complex 2d 'puppets' are made which are designed to allow animators keep on model and not have to worry about drawing. Modern simpsons is the same, which is why animation errors like in early simpsons episodes are no longer present.

You know when homer said about the M and G it got me thinking as I know the first name of the creator is matt. So I typed in "who made the simpsons" and M and G is the creators initials! I love that lol.
