for guys who too had lags with canvas flip, u can press "ctrl+alt+shift+k" choose the group "application menus" and found tab "view" here gonna be "flip horizontal" just add shortcut and done!!!

I've been drawing in Photoshop (raster based) since Photoshop 6, back in 1999... I use it over Illustrator (which is vector) and since most of what I draw is digital to begin with, I can adjust to different resolutions for size... Newer versions of Photoshop (2024) are still raster, but now they can open vector files as well... I prefer Photoshop over Illustrator because much of the F/X from right out of the box are limitless... Whereas on vector based Illustrator, the on board F/X are somewhat limited unless you purchase plug-in bundles...

Hey there! im having a problem when trying to paint over the locked layer. I locked the lineart layer so I could change the color tone (just like here 21:05 ) but it automatically creates another layer. It's my first time using photoshop, I don't know why it does this and I cant seem to find an answer. I fanyone has experienced this and could fix it, I'd really appreciate to hear how they've done it!

Hi! Make sure you've only click alpha lock (the little square) not the lock button that looks like a lock. But it's weird that it created a new layer. Do u have the paid version of photoshop? Sometimes cracked versions have issues. Or maybe try closing and opening the software again!

@vanesastasa So happy it helped! If it's pixilated, most likely u need to change your canvas size. Go to image > image size (or file, open new and select print size A4 or something similar.) Also, make sure your DPI is set to 300.

Do you have any advice, how to fix jittery pencils? I have a wacom tablet and it goes on my nerves not being able to draw, because of unprecise brushes. I tried calibrating, changing pressure, but nothing works for me

Some things u can try! 1 - Uninstall & reinstall ur wacom driver 2 - Make sure "Windows ink" in your pen settings is checked 3 - make sure u are using Brush, not pencil for drawing on photoshop 4 - Make sure u only have 1 driver installed (e.g. do not mix wacom n xp pen drivers) 5 - Try a diff photoshop version (smtimes certain versions just doesnt work with some computers) 6 - in brush settings on photoshop, make sure things like pen pressure is set correctly to pen not mouse hope it works!

i think youre wrong with the rgb and cmyk thing ‼️ you should set rgb if you want to showcase your art online like on a phone, pc etc cmyk is for printing! it stands for cian magenta yellow and key, the cartridges inside printers, no printer uses rgb.
