Shares. Thats how his channel gets more popular. Share his videos. I have forwarded an ass ton of his videos to many mutually artistic friends. Jono is not getting the attention he deserves for sure! Jazza is cartoon style and into creating anything in art. Amazing character design. He has a different following. Its for younger, comic book style artists. ZHC..... cant stand him. All he does is color Iphones and Ipads. Really flashy cartoonish art. Jono is the example of what great Artistic talent is. Photo realistic art. Jono you rock!
@Thesamurai19994 жыл бұрын
@@Vet4FallujahCJ well, you gotta remember not everyone is into photo realistic art. I for one prefer classical realism like William Bouguerau whom paints/draws from life. I do like Jono Dry tho, but for the most part I don’t prefer hyperrealism, it’s too easy to “fake” by using different methods, such as tracing. And a lot of the hyperrealist artist on instagram are exactly doing that, making a photorealistic drawings, but can’t draw a simple object from life, nor from imagination.
@Vet4FallujahCJ4 жыл бұрын
@@Thesamurai1999 this is true, however Jono does not do this. His style isn't even photo realistic. They are detail realistic, a trait you can't get by tracing. I also agree with the amount of artists out there tracing but showing their talent is in their color theory, detail and patience. Some go from sketch to outline to coloring to detail. Each an artist in their own right. Jono is a special case though. He is what I refer to as a true artist, from beginning to end
@Vet4FallujahCJ4 жыл бұрын
@@Thesamurai1999 also William Bouguereau was a painter from the 1800's, wo also utilized realism in detail and not so much from "life", other than subjects posing(since photography was infant at the time)since he added mythological elements. Jono is a graphite artist, focusing on abstract references through "life images" using photos. Sharing this talent expands on methods and practices, which are different from that period. Im a fan of Bridgman, who focused on exaggerated human anatomy but emphasized the importance of shaping and proportions. Every artist, both past and present has something to contribute to art. We'd be better off taking something from all of them
@nadinevaneeden16784 жыл бұрын
Hi Jono I have watched many artists give tutorials and by far yours is the most engaging. And that really has to do with you as a person, so self assured of who you are as a person and your talent. That you do not have to emphasize anything to make it more exciting. I really like that. Before I even open your video I feel already at ease. I know I will learn something new without feeling like a moron for not knowing something that I probably should have. You put people at ease. You have made me take a different approach to my own art and be less self critical. Thank you for choosing art and a teacher and changing people's lives. Looking forward to more videos!

I am learning a lot from your shorter tutorials. For the next video, could you expound a bit on how you do hair? Also, do you have any recommendations for cotton wool substitutes that'll give that soft shade? Cotton wool has been hard to find but I'm still going from store to store. I do have blending stumps. Thanks for taking the time to share with us, as always and good work.

@@JonoDry Thank you so much for replying to me! Haha. I actually found out that cotton wool are just cotton balls, so I ended up finding some cheap at my local pharmacy.
