Maybe it's just me but I've been researching and researching how to draw flash/old school style and I never seem to find what I need. Up until recently, I stumbled on one of your videos and I knew I had to subscribe! Your videos are awesome and I really hope you never stop uploading because there is a lot to learn from your videos. I guess all I really want to do is thank you for taking the time out of your day to make these videos and reply to all the youtubers. -Monica

Dawg you're really inspiring. I'm sort of in the starting phases of becoming a tattoo artist. I study a lot of different styles and American traditional is definetly my favorite. I've been drawing a lot with it, just don't know exactly how to get an apprenticeship. If you got any tips that'd be great. I watched your videos on it as well. By the way, keep up these how to draw videos! They're great and inspiring!

Thanks man glad you liked it! Best way is just get a good portfolio of flash sheets together and go round shops asking if they need an apprentice or know anyone that does, just get your foot in the door and make connections

I can start off! I would like to see how to do a typical old school/traditional Panther head/body. Different styles and what you should think of when doing it and variations, it would be cool if you could show us how you paint skulls too!

Not yet officially! An artist took a liking to my work so I've been in the shop observing, asking questions, helping out where I can etc. Seems like I've got my foot in the door, just need to prove myself then hopefully it will become permanent! :)

I just use whatever I have haha...something not too hard for water colour paper though because you don't want to dent the paper if you press too hard

Yeah a few people have asked for that, I will try and work out a simplified way of drawing them but they are a lot more complicated than swallows so it might be hard ha

Genius, I don't do tattoos but I do make jewellery and this is fascinating, its like little fishes with wings and beaks and I can use this in my silver clay work to decorate a piece ...This is really great...Thanks actually looking at the list there's a lot of stylised pictures, the scroll with words inside that could also be used in a very traditional way...It is really good. ..Thanks again.

One of my ideas is of a guy with a tear drop tattoo on his face holding a mirror in one hand and a mask with a smiley face on the other to signify he has a problem that he has to decide to face or pretend nothings wrong, but I also like the idea of octopus fighting off a tiger, but i'm not sure how traditional those ideas are

I have only ever done one and that's because skin deep called me up and asked if I wanted to do it otherwise I wouldn't have because I don't really like conventions much

I don't really draw realistic stuff so for me in traditional style it would be a squiggly line and a curved line...lips done haha. I can do something on traditional pin ups faces though if that would help?

Hey. I love your videos, they are a great help to me as I have been designing tattoos for years but have only ever been good at black and grey. I wanted to get into retro and school for a while but have never been able to help. My next goal is to get into tattooing. I have my own gun and synthetic skin, so I practice a lot and have been told I am very good but I can't find anywhere that will take me on as an apprentice. Any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks

It's difficult to find places that will take apprentices. A friend of mine, who is a tattoo artist, basically started tattooing everything he could find (you know, pork meat, fruits, his own skin) and when he was somewhat confident started offering tattoos for cheap (obviously saying he was just getting started); by word of mouth he earned some recognition and started his own business with some other lesser known guys. In a couple of years he became quite recognized. I dunno if it helps you somewhat but I wanted to share what I know. If it is what you want for you, keep fighting, I wish you success.

I have a friend who has a tattoo gun and synthetic skin and it's always been something I wanted to try but I never had the confidence to get behind the needle.
