How to dress Cold weather Adventures : Winter Layers

Winter Blues getting you feeling the need to get outside?? Do you know how to choose your layers? There’s a method to the madness so you can stay warm & comfortable while hiking, snow shoeing, snow camping, sledding or just playing outside. .. 😵‍💫
1. Base layer : this is your first line of defense for wetness and abrasion protection. Make sure it’s quick drying & non cotton
2. Light insulation layer : the first warm layer make sure it’s breathable
3. Mid-Weight Insulation : this is for more warmth & wind protection. Down is best because it’s the lightest to carry. But fleece or soft shell will also do the trick! 🧤
4. Shell : the waterproof layer, to keep you dry in heavy weather
5. Parka : this is for longer journeys or extreme weather. Used during breaks to maintain body heat. Also for emergencies as back up gear

This is a fabulous video. Didn't know that there was so much to layering. You should for your next film do basics for protecting extremities hands, feet, head, etc. I have circulation problems in my hands and I'm always having trouble keeping my hands and feet warm no matter what I put on them.
