I’m 14 and have never cared about sports. I remember in my PE classes in elementary and middle school, I was that one quiet kid who’d kinda just stand in place and not really do anything when we’d play sports to avoid embarrassing myself. Now that I’ve entered high school, I’ve become extremely interested in basketball, and really wanna getting into playing it. So here I am, staring with the basics. Idk if it’s too late to get good, but why not try. :)
@JR-ju3kj Жыл бұрын
You're 14( 15 now, I'm guessing) and you think that it's too late to get good at basketball? Well, not to worry, it isn't too late for you to still get good at playing basketball. There have been people who didn't learn how to play basketball until they were in their twenties, their thirties, their forties and even their fifties. I'm 41 and I just start learning how to play the game( but for me, I'm learning how to play for fun and not for a team or professionally) . Dikembe Mutombo didn't start playing basketball until his was 17 and Dennis Rodman didn't start playing until he was 21( and he didn't get drafted into the NBA until he was 25)! So, no it isn't too late for you get really good at basketball at all! All the best of luck!

My town here literally loves basketball like everyone is so infulened by it, and yes it includes my family. Though i like the game of basketball, people here take it way too seriously that to the point if you dont play it you'd not be considered their "real man" thats why i practice in secret cause they dont go easy on begginers i.e: expect beginners to instantly know how to dribble and shoot perfectly, its a breath of fresh air to see a guy just genuinely teaching me and being nice and calm with the teaching thats why i feel bad for my father because whenever i get the chance to play basketball on a court, i decline seeming like i dont like the sport. I want to live up to him because i feel as if im really dissapointing him but thank you for this tutorial.

I was the clumsy non athletic kid as well. Now I'm 44 and started basketball a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely enjoy it. These videos help a lot! The only thing I don't see in any video, is how to get more control over the receiving hand. I think that would make completing the through the legs, or behind the back crossovers a lot easier to master. As well as changing directions and stringing moves together. Do you have any tips on that! Keep up the great videos!
