On titan for speed swing with eager edge after a jump and immediately swap to primary then tap jump repeatedly forcatpult lift or tap once for strafe. With proper timing u can reproc eager edge and chain the speed boost without sword flying

Small thing for anyone who sees this with shatter skating hold your dive button before you heavy and jump. It will buffer the shatter so it takes less timing lower chance to bung it.

^this for shatterskate i use long press B as dive button (which is also my crouch button). all you have to do is hold crouch near the ledge then press heavy then jump. actually the easiest way to shatterskate on controller. and doesnt really mess up any other binds.

Wish I saw this video when I first started well skating months ago, the a+b trick woulda been helpful. Luckily I've mastered it without doing that and using the normal bumpers, not that hard but the a+b would definitely help for beginners

On Titan, it’s just sword flying. The skating term doesn’t apply to it cause it’s a completely different method. Also, you jump, hit jump again (to deactivate jump) then sword swing. If you just jump and swing then jump then swing, you’ll lose height and jump after a bit and you’ll fall to your death.

I was gonna comment the same thing, and Titans have bubble skating but its not worth doing since it uses your super and the timing is really precise.

It's super inconsistent and not even as good as normal titan flying with lions. Master lion ramparts and you can fly anywhere easily.

Bubble skating is extremely inconsistent, if I ever do another video showing other ways of skating I’ll try to include it but I’ve only ever pulled it off twice

​@@WorserPlays I tested with making a macro for it for like 6 hours and came to the conclusion that it's gotta be FPS based or something along those lines. I can consistently get it in solo crucible testing when I average >140fps but when I go anywhere else and get different fps because of more players/effects/combat/etc it doesn't work. I might experiment again using a frame cap so hopefully it's stable

@@Reinbark all skating techniques change slightly with frame differences but bubble skating is always insanely tight no matter what, just like ground skating. Do let me know if you find anything out though with your testing!

Titans can bubble skate yes but it's horribly inconsistent. I'll see if any bind changes can help that but I honestly doubt it as it also doesn't give much in return when you pull it off. Thank you for the kind words though!

@@WorserPlays It's best to cap your FPS to 30 (if your platform allows it), the lower your FPS the easier bubble skating is. After enough practice it's just as consistent as Shatter/Well/Strand skating, and you can Titan sword fly with Lions out of it

For shatter skating, do you need to be pushing forward on the left stick, or do you get enough forward motion just from the Eager Edge lunge itself?

You don’t have to use the stick for any of this, I just hold it forward out of instinct and so I can Icarus dash properly for warlocks.

I play with an ES2, and have my super mapped to A+B on my paddles for better control with the Nightstalker super… I have my air dive mapped to X which is another paddle, so I’m going to try to just keep X held down the entire time so it instantly activates when I jump, then swap, heavy attack, and jump. i did mine first try lmao but to be fair, i spent over 3700 hours on D2, learnt about the warlock air dodge since shadowkeep... so i know it takes about a 0.1 sec delay to press the buttons > Heavy > Jump > Super.

I don’t think you need to change the key binds for shatter or well skate, you just need to make sure shatter is not on long press. But thank you, I somehow mastered shatter and well skating on console, but somehow did titan skating a bit wrong

Yeah you don’t need to change your keybinds for it, it just makes it easier and more consistent. But you do have to change shatterdive to a single press.

The thing is, it can be done with any super almost, and in the same exact way as well, but it consumes your super, but solar warlock has more things for in air mobility and more speed

Unfortunately recently they temporarily disabled eager edge in crucible because of a bug that lets you proc eager edge on relics and melees. If you want to practice this still I suggest the area with the exo stranger, or any raid/dungeon encounter with a rally and a ledge

What about sword skating with dawn blade warlock without any boots to jump higher? I just started playin D2 again a couple weeks ago, just got a eager edge sword yesterday and I can sword skate but I can’t keep myself high up in the air fr. I can cover about the same distance u did sometimes but I always eventually fall to the ground a bit before I can make it from one ledge to the other (same map u were on and usin the same ledges). I made it from one ledge to the other but barely. Anyone got any tips? Also when I actually made it to the other ledge I was only able to do it by popping heat rises and combining icarus dash with sword skating.

The only disadvantage of Shatter skate is you need beyond light and unlock stasis to shatter skate
