Awesome video! Is there a way I can track the percentage summary of different tasks I completed versus the total number of tasks in a day or a week?

Apologies for missing this comment! I guess I would need more information to answer this question. Are you looking for a percentage summary overall? A percentage per project? Per day? What kind of percentage summary are you wanting? It's possible but to direct you to how you would do that would require me to have more information

Does the task need to be created only in the same day that It will occur? I would like to see on my calendar everything I have to do during the next weeks, including the reccuring tasks. For example, imagine its monday and my recurring tasks is workout everyday. I would like to see in the calendar the task on the whole week, not only in the day that It Will occur, so I can manage my reunions according to my free time. Is It possible?

Unfortunately, as I say in the video, that is the one caveat of this approach. It will only create the new task the day that it is set to recur. It cannot create the tasks ahead of time. A work around could be to create a recurring task for each month or each week and then use it as a reminder to create your tasks for the entire month or week, but otherwise this hack won't do what you want. You may need to try a 3rd party plug in like pipedream

If you're talking about updating the icons for the page, then yes! I'm pretty sure I even did that in this video. 🙂

@@coachellyn I meant adding an icon to a table view of a database. You mentioned in the video how it bugged you that you had to copy and paste icons from a external website. (I think you used a star?) This has always drove me nuts! So I was really excited when I saw this feature. I just wanted to make sure it didn’t get past you! 😊

Yes, you can! You just have to use the @ feature when you input the date and it will notify you. My recommendation, though, is to just build your recurring tasks into your task list. That way you're notified by merely looking at your task list for the day.

It isn't showing in my calendar. I also don't have formula for show in calendar or recurring tabs.

Did you download the template? Or did you create it yourself? If you created it yourself, you need to make the formula for "Show in Calendar" and the Recurring textbook by clicking the + with "add a property." You also need to be sure to change your "Show Calendar by" property to "Show in Calendar" to make the recurring tasks show up in your calendar

If I'm using Notion as a CRM to remind me to follow up with 250 people, this wouldn't work, correct? because I'd have over 250 templates?

I'm not sure what the context is for you, but for me, follow-ups are more of a one-time thing. If you have recurring following-ups and it's not on a weekly frequency, I would simply schedule the follow-ups as tasks or subtasks and then manually change the due date after the follow-up has been completed if I need to follow-up again later. I hope that gives you some ideas or alternatives you could do instead of a recurring task. This is something I could help you set-up inside of Notion All-Access if that's something you're interested in!

I see your point and I would definitely prefer to see my future recurring tasks. However, the 3rd party recurring task integrations kept breaking when Notion made a change and that was less ideal. I find this to be the most reliable recurring tasks solution and, for my purposes, I've never had an issue with not being able to see my recurring tasks ahead of time, so long as they're there on the day when I need them.

It's definitely a little complicated but the benefit of it is that it's integrated into Notion. A lot of other recurring task options for Notion are 3rd party apps and integrations which then break when Notion makes an update. If there's anything I can do to make it easier, let me know!

I totally understand the feeling. Notion for recurring tasks isn't seamless. From the options I've seen, this is the simplest and most effective workaround. The ones I've seen that are simpler have issues that end up being very problematic. So, if you're a complete Notion Novice, I probably wouldn't recommend trying to do recurring tasks at all. Just get used to the platform
