But what about how you can't process more than like 30 g of protein in a sitting? In fact I'm pretty sure it's between 15 and 26 g. Is that accurate?

No
@goodcitizen3780Ай бұрын
@@ericdesousa469 As a matter of fact, it was pretty accurate. I'd be happy to entertain any citation that counters the claim.
@goodcitizen3780Ай бұрын
@@ericdesousa469 Here's just one citation to back my claim: According to a 2013 study in the Journal of Physiology, muscle protein synthesis is maximised at a dose of about 20-25 grams protein in one sitting. Here, 'one sitting' refers to a time period of 1-2 hours. Another which backs my original avg of 30g: In general, most people can process around 20-40 grams of protein in a meal-so “I wouldn’t recommend eating more than about 45 grams of protein in one sitting,” Anthea Levi, RD, says. (For context: One 100-gram steak contains about 25 grams of protein, so eating two-while delicious-might lead to a little discomfort.) According to Mayo Clinic, consuming more than 2 grams of protein per kilogram in the course of a day would also be considered on the high side for many people.
