We love your videos! How would I feed myself on $15 per week: maybe 5lb bag of flour, yeast packets, 1lb rice, 1 lb dried beans, 1 lb dried lentils, 2 onions, bag of carrots, 18 eggs, 2 heads garlic, 1 can tomato paste, and 4 bananas. I would bake 3 loaves of bread (because no butter to make biscuits). Breakfast would be toast with 2 eggs or a banana. Lunch would be rice and beans OR lentil soup with scoop of rice in it. Dinner would be an egg sandwich with lentil soup. Or beans and rice. I love beans and rice, so I would fare pretty well.... I could even feed a few guests before the end of the week!

Depending on what sort of pineapple you get, some people have been able to plant the top in order to produce another pineapple. But I’ve read somewhere on the internet that some species of pineapples sold in store are bred so that you can’t do that. I don’t know. I guess you could try and see if you could grow your own pineapple from the tops that you cut off.

Love your recipes, especially the plantains! I’m Cuban and we eat plantains regularly. The way we cook ripe plantains is by double frying... see below or google “tostones”: Chop the pieces larger (so that they are about an inch and a half thick or so) and fry them for about 5 minutes on all sides. Then remove and place them on a paper towel lined plate. Use a plantain press (or a folded over paper towel and a cup) to press the plantain. It should be about 1/2 an inch thick. Fry the pressed plantains until they are golden all over.

Also I forgot to mention, they should be seasoned after cooking with some garlic salt

I was stressed out, hoping not to cut the lace too far in, and my head hurt from the cap. Reading nice comments makes it worth it! XOXO

I looooove plantains. Love to fry them a little more flat with salt and garlic powder. Also, I’m puzzled by the wig statement.
