Thanks for posting this. I often shoot video with my phone at my off grid cabin, and have to wait until I get home to edit the clips with cyberlink power director. It has no electric or internet service at the cabin. I would like to upload from phone sometimes. Never thought about using iMovie. Now I can practice with it.

Hello Collin!… I found your style very helpful… I have a question sir… I recently imported a video into my iPhone from another iPhone … when I loaded it into my new project … only the Audio played… no upper video section… the previous video however played up to that newly added track??? Unfortunately I believe so as of now. We might see it added with iphone 14 in September. That was the one thing different from the mobile version.

Thanks for this. I'm pretty proficient in iMovie and I do it on my phone. The problem I always have is editing a song at the beginning. I know how to fade at the end, but say I wanted a particular song at the beginning, but I wanted the song to START after an intro. For instance, I was editing a video for my family yesterday and wanted to use Lose Yourself by Eminem, right? Well the song doesn't get exciting until the 45 second mark. Is there a way to edit/start a song at a certain mark?

Hey I use iMovie a lot and you can definitely pinch the text and stretch it to make it bigger or smaller plus move it to any location on the screen. The iMovie library is free but you’ll get tired of the limited choices pretty quickly. They are the easiest way to add a soundtrack for a quick edit though

Nice work but I missed using the magnifier top right of vid… I split then select the mag glass icon…then use fingers to zoom in and out…. The video then plays at that setting of magnification until one repeats the split and mag trick… just sayin bro… works great for longer interview style videos. 😁

I’m working on a project for work and I made a 10 min plus clip I deleted the project once it was uploaded to my work ipad, to free up space but now iMovie won’t let me add more to a current project that is shorter and I’ve deleted a lot of photos etc to feed up space… why won’t it let me add more to a shorter parter freeing up space

You have to make more storage on your phone. Check your phones storage settings to find things to get rid of to free up storage.
