Hey Andy, you sent me a message on FB from the ShotScope group. Just wanted to say thanks again for these videos. Very clear explanation and love to see these features in action on how to use these devices to their full potential.

Thanks a ton Andy for the tutorial! I've played a few rounds with Shot Scope and tried to edit on my phone before I found it wasn't so easy.... Hope you have a great year on the links!

Hi Brian, Thanks for the kind words. Glad you found this tutorial useful and best of luck to you on the course this year too. Just in case you didn’t see the message in the description or comments area for this video, I’ve actually just released new tutorials for both the newly updated mobile and online editors, so this tutorial is now out of date. You can find both of the new tutorials on my main channel or using these links. There are quite big changes to the look and feel of the editor, so definitely worth watching. New online editor tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmqQcq2Gibt2eqM New mobile editor tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXmkYWuKnq6NaMk Hope this both help and thanks again for the view/comment! Andy

@@AndysGolfBlog will do. Had my first SS round today. Helps one to be much more realistic about how far we hit the ball - at least, in my case anyway! And it’s a good reminder how uphill shots are affected - really looking forward to putting a mini database together! Thanks again!

Very informative Andy. 2 questions . 1. Can you dispense with the phone altogether ? and 2. How would you record a hole out from off the Green ? Thanks
@AndysGolfBlog
@AndysGolfBlog 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert - sorry for the delay in replying to this one. 1) The phone app is always required to set up the devices (G3/V3 and H4), upload your completed rounds (V3 and H4), perform any updates (course and Firmware) on the devices (G3,V3 and H4). Other than that, no need to use the phone and certainly no need on the course during your round. 2) Hole out from off the green is marked with the '0' putts button. Hope that helps and sorry for the delay!

Really enjoyed this video having just purchased shot scope V3. One question I have would you tick the positional box when chipping to a flag say 30yds away. Thanks

Hi John - sorry for the late reply. Hadn't noticed that YT had held a bunch of comments for review. First of all, thank you for taking the time to comment and for being kind - glad you found this one useful. Secondly, with regards to the positional shot, I'd say no unless you've used a club like your 8 iron to play a bump and run shot. If it's a wedge, just leave it as it is. Hope that helps! Feel free to subscribe to my channel if you've not already done so. Plenty more videos to come in the near future :)

Andy, I recently got a shot scope H4. My question is. I have 2 rounds I played before getting my H4. Is there a way to manually add these rounds to the dashboard on my Mac ?
@AndysGolfBlog
@AndysGolfBlog 4 ай бұрын
Hello. Rounds cannot be added retrospectively, I'm afraid. A round can only be recorded when using the device.

Very useful video, thank you. It may be explained somewhere in the detailed instructions but what do you normally do if you are playing a social round and pick up on a hole?
@AndysGolfBlog
@AndysGolfBlog 2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to comment. I you pick up then it'll just track your shots until you collect your ball. It shouldn't automatically add any putts or extra shots but you can delete these if need be. If you pick up on the green then you can press the pick up button on the watch instead of selecting how many putts you took. Hope this helps! Feel free to subscribe to the channel if you've not already and thanks for stopping by!

This video was terrific. I continue to be amazed at the technology that Shot Scope offers. Unfortunately, this is light years away from where my golf skills lie. I merely want to be able to edit the score card so that it accurately reflects my score. I track how many times, I hit the fairway, how many putts and of course, my final score. I don't remember which club I used and how many times each round. I still don't see how I can do that. Perhaps one day, my game will be so good that I can track each and every shot, but I'm not there yet.

Hi Debra. Do you own a shot scope. The way the system works is that it tracks all of this information automatically, so that you don’t need to do it yourself. Initially, some users find that strokes are missed here and there but over time it usually begins to collect pretty much all strokes. I seldom have an issues with shots missing. You can always just collect this information manually on a scorecard then refer back to it when you edit your round. This is what I usually do. I usually have a column for score, one for fairways hit (tick or cross), one for greens hit (tick or cross) and putts taken. All I need to then do is cross reference the editor with my scorecard when editing my round.

Oh yes I own a V3. Have played 6 rounds on it so far. Love it. I already track my FIR, putts and score manually on card. But the V3 seems to miss some shots since that score doesn't jive with the card. I'm just trying to figure out it I'm doing something wrong or how to edit the V3. I don't track every single shot and every club. Thanks.

@@debrabotterill5602 ohh okay. Got you now. Well, some of the tips I share in this video might help with that then… kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmi2nqSepcmqfLM If not, just drop shot scope a message and I’m sure they’ll be able to advise further!

hi , is there an option to change the year , i cant get any information as it is 2023 and only options are for 2021 or 2022?
@AndysGolfBlog
@AndysGolfBlog Жыл бұрын
You should see an option for the current year but only if you have captured rounds this year and have enabled statistics on them. If you’ve uploaded a round this year and it counts toward stats then it should be shown here, David.
