The descending Strawberry Fields Forever lick sounds okay. The ascending lick is not pretty. There are a number of players that have good technique, but I do not care for their playing. David Hartley plays traditional country and when Stannard was alive, the two of them were the best. Cheerful, pleasant music, full of love. Jernigan- fast, but not pretty. Emmons- weird, but not pretty, only certain cuts, such as Nightlife, good. Randolph- ugly distortion music. Franklin- not pretty music, ugly modern crap. Green- good, traditional. Brumly- good, traditional. I still find Hartley the best. Day- good, but I can not identify enough of his stuff. Cox- brilliant thinker. I agree with his Day pedals, rather than Emmons= foot doctor, please, my ankle is in pain! I like your teaching, Aaron, keep trying. Don Helms, that fixed neck player for Williams was a great player of the high strings, memorable licks, why did Hank fire him?
