I think it’s interesting that when you are having a good day and at the end of the day, an intrusive thought from your lower self would say, “ you had such a nice day but maybe something can happen tomorrow because you had too nice of a time. Luckily Now I’m aware it is my lower self speaking and worrying with the lowest vibration guilt. My higher self believe we deserve to be happy and there is no punishment, no wrong to have a good day.

What I learned on my own during massive amount of time (decades) -that anxiety is not bad. Anxiety is alarm system that we are in toxic settings. It is not us that are causing the problem. 1) Anxiety stems from external environment - which is toxic. Like living in a shame culture country. Like Narcissistic abuse. Like emotional abuse. As oppose to living in Guilt culture country. In shame culture - society will label our mistakes and flaws as personal fault and own choice which is bad to the core. Intrusive thought issue also stems from AcoA and ACE in childhood - exposure to relentless criticism 24/7- which is 10 year old child inside us being traumatized and invalidated. More of invalidation will not help in this complex trauma issue. This is important to know because when we do not know that anxiety is external reaction to external toxic elements - we will self blame ourselves. And once we start to blame ourselves , we will develop toxic shame, self hatred and self rejection. Which means totally new layers of anxiety on top of the existing trauma - that was externally caused. Which leads to the next discovery 2) Our identity is being rooted in not being enough. And CBT will keep us stuck in this such toxic belief that we are abnormal and sick. Which means new and new layers of anxiety. It is not about that we choose to have intrusive thoughts - it is toxic ambient that is being coercive and manipulative that is the sole problem here. It is not that fear is imaginary or hallucination. Anxiety is based on the real abuse and real predators and abusive people around us who are most often covered and covert through plethora of gaslighting and pathological lying.

Omygosh! This so resonated with me. Found out a year ago my mom is a covert narcissist and I'm trying to finally understand all of it. 😩 . It's relief of now knowing what this has all been, to hurtful for wanting to know WHY and feeling like my childhood was not only filled with self doubt self loathing and feeling unloved..... But all a lie. I've struggled with panic attacks since grade school and it's never went away. I was a terrified little girl..... And now I'm 54 and I'm still terrified. I have agoraphobia (to my close surroundings) and have only left to go farther, twice since I was 21. I've seen a thousand therapists..... Meds..... Nothing has gotten me over my state line in 30 years. 😭 I just found this guy tonight when I decided I wanted to look into the "unconscious rewiring" of the brain etc for all this, here on KZbin. And he was the first that popped up. Watching these videos is so triggering it's hard..... Watching ANY video about this is. Or reading books etc. I just want so badly to get better and fear I never will. 😩

@@comfortablynumb6294 Sam Vaknin is better source - he is professor of psychology and he coined all the modern information about narcissism. He says that we react to shock (like narcissistic assault) in 4 ways - we become closed, isolated and we try to fix ourselves - and this makes us open to Trojan Horse of all sorts of psychopaths and sociopaths and narcissists from whom we try to escape ironically.

If ever an issue came up with my health anxiety no matter what it was you could guarentee that I'd see an article in a book, a video on youtube or TV referring to the self same problem. I'm making a lot of lifestyle changes and doing nervous system regulation as well as trying to do emotional reframing and challenge thoughts. As this bout of anxiety was triggered by a sinus infection that ended up lasting 7 months whenever I get similar symptoms I find it had to keep challenging that it's just anxiety. I keep telling myself I'm anxious and it's feelings that will go away but it feels a bit more of a battle at the moment.

When we are caught up in ableist CBT fantasy idea that we must "change" ourselves - this is hypnotizing us into mentality of not being enough. We base our identity on not being enough. And then we end up being needed and clingy and codependent and slave with slave mentality - where other people are gods while we are hapless victim who is not allowed to have "bad" emotions such as anxiety or fear or doubt or worry. When we operate from not enough mentality, we will be stuck in anxiety paradoxically - forever, plus we will develop severe toxic shame (basic core belief we are abnormal and we must hate ourselves until we become perfectionist)

Dennis, thank you for another great video😊. I haven't been sleeping much for weeks and months, and I know you have mentioned that's where willpower goes away, etc. It certainly doesn't help intrusive body focused ideas, not sleeping. As I am going through grief and racing mind, palpitations, slowing down seems to be a challenge. I feel burned out and lots of waking up, morning crying. Also, my everyday structure isn't there. I guess combinations of overthinking, having too much time free on my hands, and not eating regularly really have affected my body and mind. Looking at this, is there a simple way of starting something or doing something that may boost my willpower and these exhaustive crying episodes. Thank you for any response. I really want to trust in my body that it will indeed live and breathe for me. Is one of the secrets truly slowing down? 🙏 hypervigilant state Much love to you, my friend 🧡

Nitpicking our thoughts is not good idea. This will lead to toxic shame and basic belief that we cannot depend on our own brain and our own instincts. Then we will become lobotomized and depended on other people to explain us what is reality. This is recipe for developing severe codependency - and we will attract extremely toxic people who feel urge to control and manipulate others. Why would it be so hard to stand by our own brain, our emotions and beliefs and intuition and our heart - instead of self disciplining ourselves into being a good boy or good girl who is obedient and never rocks the boat?

Everyone does yes, since so much of our past 'mistakes' have come from parts of us that have mirrored so many others we've come in contact with in our lives (or even past lives). This is the way we take the pressure off from looking to always make the right choices and feed into our perfectionist ways. We recognize that in the end we live in a very foreign, modern world, and we're doing quite well adjusting to it and all its chaos.

There are different ways. One is through your conscious imagination, you can use my ‘reframing’ videos to release the emotional weight that’s been carried around for some time I’m sure. The other way is through mindfulness throughout the day and learning how to separate what is real from what is a perception coming from the unconscious mind. As time goes on we learn not to take this little part of us so seriously and we begin thinking about things and acting differently. Often, simply letting go without a reaction or needing an answer helps tremendously.

By developing I am enough identity. That is what CBT tries not to tell us. Instead CBT is pushing us into abyss of I am not enough - I must "reframe" my thoughts, I must carry weight, I must nitpick my mind, I must waste time and focus on recycling my thoughts, I must convince myself that abusers are not real and then stuck with them, I must develop ostrich effect and let go of reality. These are all "I am not enough" mentality and CBT is hypnotizing us into more of anxiety - since this way we will waste tons of money on self help and books for all our lives, we are walking dollar sign to CBT.
