TEDx Talks

9 жыл бұрын

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Digital information and communication technologies became a sixth sense for perceiving the city. They form a new cultural infrastructure that allows us to experience urban life from new perspectives, introducing us to new potentials for action and participation. However, we need to start thinking about the next generation of digital participation to become real smart citizens.
Christoph Schmidt-Mårtensson’s passion is to create experiences : User Experience, Customer Experience and Learning Experience. In the Corporate eLearning field he has been successfully proving for many years now, how the three worlds :user experience, customer experience and learning experience can be connected with his 3D concept (Design, Didactics and Dramaturgy/Storytelling). The innovative approach towards corporate learning of his company create.at create-mediadesign GmbH has been awarded the prestigious German E-learning Award in 2007,2013 and 2014.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Brilliant exposition! We're starting a Smart Citizens project in southern Arizona, hopefully leading to an autonomous regional innovation platform that ensures our region's integrity, political viewpoint, cultural development, and economic growth.

@@BatteryTechStocks Gerald, our major challenge has been promoting something that no few have ever experienced, pro or con. Not even the most eloquent description of a prospective innovation platform can persuade those who haven't ever experienced innovation firsthand, let alone benefited from it, let alone paid for it, to invest time, energy, even interest in such an abstraction -- a mysterious concept! Those of us in the planning profession are all too well aware of how limited are the abilities of those who will benefit from a particular desired future, let alone the many more who may not, to foresee a desired future. Planning for and design of desired futures remains a large challenge. So far, it's still a matter of putting one foot after the other and plodding ahead. Perhaps in the coming years, as hope and goodwill are restored in America, we will make progress. I had no illusions to begin with. But now people at least are talking about alternatives to "the way it's always been," a fiction convenient for discouraging innovation.
