I have a 2005 bmw X3 the radiator fan does work by way on scan tool. But it will not come on while driving. I've replaced the coolant temp sensor 2 which sits on the left side of the radiator, the fan still doesn't come on. I'll be replacing the other coolant sensor today hopefully some luck with the fan

it should be a thermo switch on a radiator or some fuse and wiring. Short 2 wires on a radiator and see if it comes on

@@vrcustoms7 I'm sure the fan works just not on its own. I need to use a snap on scan tool to manually turn the fan on.

@@vrcustoms7 I unplugged the fan for 2 seconds plugged it back in and it came on but it didn't stay on

I had the same issues. Fixed steps: Took the fan out, unscrewed cover, lubricated thoroughly with D40, make sure the fan can move freely both direction; Unplug the electric connections related to the Fan, including the Resistor's, clean the E connectors thoroughly with electric connector cleaner. Fan's function back to normal, though a little bit noisy when it runs.

The gage on my instrument panel always seems to run a little hot. I would say at least 1/8 over. Does this test run seperate from the mechanical gage on the instrument panel? Thanks- good video.

It is one of the wheels speedsensors, I thing they are back one for speedometer.
