Jesus said that we should make every effort to enter through the narrow door because outside there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. I don't know about you, but I am not interested and weeping or gnashing my teeth. So let's talk about how to enter through the narrow door as we take a ride in my Jetta.

Odd. 1 the Bible was written by Hellenistic Jews. Basically Greek bible readers who wrote Mythology. The entire book is allegory and parables about Mythology characters that represent you based on Egyptian Sun worship. You can say anything you want. But that is fact. 2 the narrow gate is in your brain. It’s the stria Pinealis I’m afraid you don’t understand the spirt inside the Bible. It’s a book about the Brain and the Mind. Greek philosophy. Not Christian religion built by Pharisees. The narrow gate is accessible through meditation. It’s the self sacrifice of letting go of the world. And it’s the scientific fact of the solar plexus sending plasma to the pineal gland. That sends a fuse down the stria pinealias in your Brain which opens the Fornix in your Brain which releases melatonin. Fornix is a Tomb or a furnace. Pineal Gland is the cornerstone. Melatonin is what Jesus meant when he said If your eye be single then your body fills with light. If you don’t believe this then answer Jesus question you call me lord but don’t do what I say?

It will not surprise you that I disagree. You think the followers of Jesus all died decades after Jesus rather than admit the whole thing is religious mythology? But I imagine you think that the person of Jesus and the disciples, etc. are all allegorical and did not exist as talks people. That would put you in a small minority of historians.

But let me add that I appreciate the tone of your reply. It is a strong disagreement without name calling or ad hominem attacks. So thank you for taking the time to comment.

Journey of Life Church I believe “Jesus “ was a person. His name is recorded in Hindu and Buddhist texts as Iesous I do not “believe” in a religious point of view commonly known as literal bible as a historical account of the Jews. A Jew was a nick name given to the original believers in meditation. That is the story of Moses. He did not exist he was a story of the mind. Jesus was a teacher of meditation. He only spoke to teach In parables so only true seekers would find him. That’s a Buddhist principle. For an example. (Don’t have the verse. I believe it’s in Luke. ) Jesus gets on a boat after feeding 4000 people? He says to the disciples (the zodiac signs) after they forgot the bread. Jesus says how many baskets of fish. 7? How many baskets of bread. 12? Jesus said “then why don’t you understand.... This is an age old Buddhist teaching about meditation. Do you understand what Jesus is asking?

I think the difference in Christianity and Jewish and Muslim and Catholics and Islam is teaching the same stories (and yes they are the same) as Literal Stories meant to bring you a spiritual life. As for What the Bible is, teaching you spiritual stories with hidden meanings that CAN BE PROVEN here in the world. Literally. For example. Jesus says go into the inner chamber. The word used was Thalamos. Which is a place in your brain.

I searched for thalamos (θάλαμος) and couldn't find it used in anywhere in the New Testament. Homer uses θάλαμος in the Iliad and the Odyssey. Sophocles also used it. But my library of digital searchable Greek literature is minimal. One could use Thalamos metaphorically, but there is no evidence that it was every used metaphorically for one's "inner life" in the brain. This is the definition of thalamos from a classical Greek lexicon: ΘΑΛ́ᾸΜΟΣ, ὁ, an inner room or chamber: 1. generally, the womens apartment, inner part of the house, Hom., Hdt. 2. a chamber in this part of the house: a. a bed-room, Il.:-the bride-chamber, Ib., Soph., etc. b. a store-room, Hom., Xen. c. generally, a chamber, room, Od. II. metaph., ὁ παγκοίτας θ. of the grave, Soph.; τυμβήρης θ. of the ark of Dana×, Id.; θάλαμοι ὑπὸ γῆς the realms below, Aesch.; θ. Ἀμφιτρίτης of the sea, Soph.; ἀρνῶν θ. their folds or pens, Eur., etc. III. the lowest part of the ship, in which the θαλαμῖται sat, the hold. IV. a shrine, temple, Anth. (Liddell, H. G. (1996). A lexicon: Abridged from Liddell and Scott’s Greek-English lexicon (p. 357). Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.) You can see in definition II that Liddell records some metaphorical use, but it is directed toward the grave, the realms below, the sea... things like that. It's probably linguistically related to "thalame": θᾰλάμη [ᾰ], ἡ, a lurking-place, den, hole, cave, but still no connection to the brain. As near as I can tell, the word thalamus has only been used to denote a part of the brain since the mid 1700's and then only in English. I think you might have a world-view that you are trying to force onto Jesus rather than simply letting Jesus be who he was. Where did you get your assertion about "thalamos"? I'm open to more discussion if you'd like.

Journey of Life Church and saying Jesus was the son of David. Is literally trying to make him a real person. Yet he never answered to that name. And he even says he isn’t.

@@SplashyCannonBall in response to this I can only say that I can read Greek. I looked in the Greek New Testament and the word thalamus is not anywhere to be found. And I couldn't find it used in other literature for the inner chamber of the mind, so that is an unsubstantiated use of thalamus. I did look up the word Jesus used in Matthew 6:6 where he tells is to go into the inner room. It's tameiov. So why is the Greek word important?
