Honestly I’m not sure where I got them. But my choice would always be glass sliding lids

Can you enter feeder fish into a competition ?

You could enter them, but they would be unlikely to do very well. Also, I don’t believe we can buy feeder fish here in the U.K.?

I am from USA in Wisconsin & we can buy feeder fish as pets. Mine are particularly beautiful albeit not of a fancy breed. They are beautiful as common goldfish go. They have all their scales evenly laid out throughout their bodies. One of the 3, however, has 3 or so missing scales on the side because it used to be an agressive fish always heavily competing for food & bullying the other two. But within the last four months it has developed a beautiful protective community leader personality toward the other two fish. They now move & rest in a pack & take some alone time every so often until called by others to gather for food or protection from an unknown approaching human when they swim quickly to the back corner together until they recognize who it is. They all have beautiful tails like that of other healthy common feeder goldfish. They are beautiful smooth swimmers hiding and sometimes fluttering all around the tank. They do not stagnante in any part of the tank, but rather use all of the space in their 29 gallon tank that they share with a very cute & dynamic Mystery Snail. I have, at times, see all 4 of them gathered together facing each other as if in a group conference before they swim or glidd on their way to check out other areas of the tank. I would also like to address their color & size. They are a beautiful golden color smooth & shiny glistening as they swim along. As they wiggle, parts of their body reveal an alabaster color for a few moments toward the middle of their body. At our pet store, feeder goldfish are catagorized as very small, small, médium, large & extra large. I bought them when they were small (1in) last March and now (November) they are between large & extra large (4in). They are growing more & more comfortable with me & I love them and little black snail very much. Could you recommend a US Goldfish Society ?

It would be a very proud moment if you managed to do well with them in a show. There is a koi and goldfish show in Atlanta. Gary Hater runs a very good goldfish club called the goldfish council. He is based in Cincinnati. Hope this helps
