Gotta hold a pass for 3 seconds or no score so escapes are the reason he’s never been scored on with a pass..

how much fun they are having at the end trying to get Xande's elbows to leave his knees was just so delightful to watch. makes me love BJJ that much more. definitely taking that drill to class.

Xande reminds me of the retired, isolated, kinda crazy master/sensei in an anime. Especially when Bernardo starts rocking him trying to break knees from elbow. Xandes laugh had me going!!

I love the term of the "hurr" because it's literally the noise you make if you do it like "hurrrr". But I think that concept wasn't touched on enough in this video and it makes so much sense! You create that hur so that any amount of pressure your opponent makes on you helps create move you away from them creating the space to make the diamond. Game changer for me, huge honor.

The diamond concept is a complete game changer! I appreciate each and every one of these tips.
Thanks to this "diamond concept" videos I had a my first good bjj day by applying it on my rolls, for.the first time as a white belt I didn't feel I got demolished by everyone else.🙏, thank you so much.

As a fresh greenhorn and white-belt, these instructions come as a Lifesaver. Many commentators below has made the remark but I will echo it. When sparring i get destroyed often pinned downed in side control and cross face pins. Bringing this to class on Wednesday. Thank you Bernardo and Xande.

I started doing this on my own quite a while ago, my instructor asked me if I learned the diamond guard but I didn’t know what he was talking about. He sent me this video and instantly I thought bingo, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing.

Love this guy but his terminology needs some work: hurr, vortex, elegant. Only diamond has an easy visualization, because it's hard like a diamond. Maybe hurr, as as motion, but vortex and elegant meanings are totally unclear.
@Slamminbassplayer10 ай бұрын
well that was confusing… it’s like this! No like this! It’s the vortex! Huh?
